Yorkshire Vs Warwickshire
Yorkshire were to go away from home for a tricky match against a good Warwickshire team on what looked like a good bowling pitch...
The bears won the toss and surprisingly put Tykes in to bowl first...what looked like a dreadful decision came a reality...Tykes bolwers bowled superbly getting some swing and uneven bounce an took full advantage of that by quickly getting the bears on 57-7...but the last three wickets caused a bit of trouble and gathered 80 runs between...M Waugh caused the only problems by making an unbeaten 59...J Teague took a brilliant 4 for 28...Doom and Ahmed also contributed by taking 2 wickets each and the other wicket went to Tahir...
The match looked as good as over as the Tykes quickly reached 41-0 but than Carter got the breakthrough by getting Ram out on 15 and the bears were hoping for an endless collapse...which didn't happen...Davies and Barrow dispatched the dissapointing bears bowlers to every part of the ground and quickly reached the requires target in an unbeaten stand of 99...Barrow made a convincing 66 while Davies continued his brilliant form with an unbeaten 54...
The MOM award went to Jack Teague for his brillaint 4-28 and also Tykes went to the top of the Challenge Trophy table...for the time being...

Yorkshire Vs Middlesex
1) Yorkshire lost the toss and were put in to bat by middlesex...Yorkshire with their mix of youngsters and legends started very badly and lost 2 quick wickets but than Davies cam to the field and like several time before saved his team...he managed to get some good partnerships going with Ram(52) and McPinch(50) but was later bowled by Silverwood(ex-team mate) for 76...
All of the Middlesex bowlers got a wicket apart from Betts...Silverwood and Keegan got 3 each while Richardson got 2...even part-timers like Strauss and Shah got a wicket each...
2) Middlesex started very strongly and quickly reached 40-0 but than a run-out saw Staruss goign back to the pavillion and Hoggard got Smith caught out...but than Shah and Joyce came to the field and didn't look like they were going to get out anytime soon...they played superbly dispatching the Tykes bowlers to all parts of the ground and in no time they had passed 200 with both of the players pretty close to their 100s...but than Hoggard was brought back into the attack and got Shah out and also took 2 quick wickets to leave the teams evenly poised...Nash and Joyce started to have a partnership going and Joyce passed 150 with a brilliant cover drive...but than Teague returned and quickly got Nash and the next batsman, Silverwood, LBW...Hoggard also returned with the new ball and got Betts and Keegan out while Teague cleared of the tail by getting bowling Richardson out...
Hoggard was the pick of the bowlers from the first innings taking 6-81 while Teague, his opening partner, got 3-98...all of the other bowlers went wicketless...
3) Yorkshire started the 2nd innings very steadily but 2 wickets fell in 6 balls as Keegan and Richardson got Vaughn and Barrow out cheaply...now Deasy and Davies were on the field and started to look comfortable but than Richardson came back to have a spell and immideatley got Davies out LBW...after that it was Ram who came to the field and didn't fell comfortable and all but settled in after a while and started to build a good partnership with Deasey who had passed his 100...they both batted superbly in a partnership worth 142 and Ram got his 50 and Deasey got 150...but right after Ram got his 50 he got out playing across the line and a beautiful partnership came to an end...McPinch didn't stay long either and was out LBW by Silverwood...Tahir came to the field full of confidence and started playing excellent shots from the start and got to 45 in no time while on the other end Deasey was celebrating his double ton, a brilliant batting performance...but Silverwood came back again with the new ball and Tahir just couldn't handle the swing and got out bowled and a pertnership of over 100 was ended...the tailenders did quite well with Doom getting 22 and Teague and Hoggard getting into double figures but they didn't support Deasey for that long and soon Deasey was standing alone on the pitch with 223 runs to his name...
The middlesex bowlers did OK again with Silverwood getting 4, yorkshire would be thinking again if he was their player again, also Richardson got 3 while Keegan got 2 and Betts got only 1...
4) So Middlesex needed 321 to win with plenty of time remaining...and they got of to a cracker of a start with Staruss and Smith playing beautiful shots all around the ground and they both soon got to their 50s...than Hoggard and Teague returned and had the impact immideatley with Hogard getting Smith and Shah out while Teague got Staruss...Than Joyce (150 in first innings) came to the field along with Venuto and they played like they had no pressure on them what so ever...they both were in their mid 30s when Ahmed got Venuto with the new ball...than Compton came to the field but didn;t last long and was caught out by Teague who also got Nash out soon after that...while Joyce celebrated his 100 Hoggard celebrated getting Silverwood out...it was 300-7 now and anybody would have bet for Middlesex to win but the Tykes didn't lose hope and got the reward in the shape of Betts getting LBW...it was very close now and Middlesex only needed 15 with 2 wickets left and thats when Doom struck getting the vital vital wicket of Joyce who went back to the pavillion without finishing the job off...but than Keegan got 2 sloppy boundries and it looked all over for Tykes when Middlesex only needed 2 to win but than the captain gave the ball to Doom and trusted him and he didn't dissapoint his captain when he got Richardson to snick the ball to McPinch, the captain, and the crowd went wild...everybody mounted Doom and the celebrations went late into the night...
Tykes bowlers bowled pretty well looking at the circumstances with Teague getting 4, Hoggard 3, Doom 2 and Ahmed 1...
Yorkshire now stand 4th in the County Championship with 1 win and a draw...
