Your favorite game

You play that as well? I got a mate who is heaps into it. He tried to drag me back into that 'world' but I've gotten' over it already :p

I haven't played it in a while though. School/life/sports first for me. The characters are more fun than all the more serious RTS games, so I like it.

I just wish it was more fast-paced somehow though. Some matches go on for more than an hour. Madness!

The game I have enjoyed most is Gothic 2. That game made me an action RPG fan and I have been getting my hands on Action RPGs ever since. I also loved GTA San Andreas, Resident evil and God of War Series. As far as Cricket games are concerned I liked BLC 99 and Cricket 2004. I am eagerly awaiting Red Dead Redemption and Arcania a Gothic Tale.

Still love playing Championship Manager 2006. The play is as quick as any management game I've played, it is testing but not impossible, and has enough quirks and potential to cheat - you can offer to loan any player, if anyone bids then increase the loan fee to ?20m and they accept while the ?20m goes into your transfer budget! (not that I do it, just know it is possible) You can then cancel the loan and loan them out again, make a fortune in loan fees.

But playing it properly it has a few other quirks, but you can get round them. If anyone has it or tries it on PS2, you can sell a keeper to some clubs and it frees up a better player. Say as Brighton you sell a youth team keeper to Deportivo Saprissa, despite them only having 13 players in the 1st team which stops you signing their players (their board deems they don't have enough players in their squad), you can then sign Saborio (played for Bristol City) for ?20k and he is excellent on CM06. You can get Centeno in a similar way, or approach to sign two youth keepers and swap with a Saprissa player and then buy Centeno. Or Semjonovs from Skonto Riga. Or Neemelo from TMKV Tallin. You can buy enough decent players for not a lot, or approach to sign quality players, to make the game thoroughly enjoyable. Beating Chelsea to the Premiership is hard, good luck with that!

Never played CM. I still play Football Manager 08 though, great game.

On '07 I got to the Champ league final only to lose to liverpool 3-1. :(

The sad thing was, I had a meaningless dead rubber, last game match against them away and we won 1-0.

Has anyone ever played one of these games ? -
Pokemon Diamond, Crystal, Platinum, HeartGold/Soulsilver.
And Pokemon Ranger ?

Not the best games but merely addiciting.

Yeah definitely addicting,lol

Played the bolded ones. Also played Brawl and Naruto CoN Revo 3 for Wii and Tekken 5, Soul caliber, DBZ tenkaichi 3 for PS2. Although I haven't played games for a while.

Started playing NBA 2K9 again. Forgot how good it was. Really hoping 2k11 has all bugs taken care of regards to the gameplay and career mode. Never would've gotten rid of 2k10 if not for those annoying bugs and crappy patches.

I have FM09 I think on PC, so much slower and more annoying than CM06 (or CM07) Depending what console you have, or if you use the PC, I recommend you try it. Not only is CM06 challenging but not impossible while being realistic, it is quick so you can complete a season in 6-7 hours depending on how much transfer activity you engage in. I usually sell the whole squad and build from scratch, that takes up to 2 hours before the season starts and then the 40-60 games take 5 hours which is a pretty reasonable rate. CM07 has more realism in terms of other things, but is so much slower to play a match eg work permits and no "approach to signs" CM07 does have some good aspects, I enjoy the trading and signing, but the games take so long.

GTA games have always served me well, also really into UFC on 360 atm (can't wait for the new one).

Cricket 07 also gets the odd run!

I never liked FM09. I stuck to 08. At the moment I rotate frequently between playing FM08 and FM10 - both on the PC. A season in 6-7 hours is pretty intense. Seems a little too quick for me, I like FM. I'll have to give CM a go sometime though.

Yeah, FM09 is the runt of the series really. Lets it down. Lagged heaps, and generally wasn't that good a play.

FM08 is great, but FM10 is just mindblowing with the amount of possibilities you can have - you can play in virtually any country of the world thanks to downloadable leagues. I even had a Papua New Guinea save going once where I managed a team in PNG and managed their national team for a bit.

Tekken 5 was amazing, I probably played it more than anything else on my PS2, when I had it. Seeing Tekken 6 after seeing Tekken 5 was such a let down, had Tekken 5 purely been ported to the PS3 with the Tekken 6 graphics I would've been happy :facepalm .

I also played FIFA 06, 08 and 09 on my PS2 quite a bit too.
