so what happened to marshall?when they came out last time, lara was saying he was the next big thing in west indies cricket, is he just outta form??

It's fairly typical of West Indian cricket. They get a talented youngster, talk them up and throw them into international cricket way too soon and then not suprisingly they usually fail or don't live up to expectations.

Yep :( That's if they even make it through the temptations of greater riches elsewhere in areas like Basketball. Such a shame, the Windies were always such an exciting team to watch, in recent years it has just been a personal battle for Lara to try and score runs without any real satisfaction that his bowlers will back up his efforts, or the rest of the batting lineup will try to help.

that's bad, i was hoping we would do well
how's dwayne bravo going then, he was great when they came over last

Bravos been recovering from injury. Was playing as just a batsman in his last outing, hopefully can bowl again for this series, although should not really be needed considering the opposition.

Bravo passed a fitness test and is able to bowl in the ODI series. He is a great bowler, he's not their main weapon as Edwards, Collymore and Bradshaw are all very good bowlers. But yeh we were treated to Bravo's best in Novemeber :)

yeh Marshall just totally disappeared off the scene...funny how that happens.

Well, technically he was never really on the scene; he made his ODI debut after playing like one FC match for Jamaica. :p But still, true, it's funny how he received all that attention and failed to deliver immediately, and as a result has kinda disappeared. Not that many actually expected him to perform- it would have been far more beneficial if he stayed on the FC stage and practiced his trade to a further extent before being cited by the national team. But that tells us alot about West Indies cricket, where they neglect development when the emerging players are coming through the ranks.
Great to see Bravo back, he's a class performer in all aspects, and his energy in the field seems to add alot. How gun was his caught and bowled last year! :) (Chanderpaul's catch was probably better to be honest, but Bravo's happened so quickly after the skipper's excellence that it was shown up :()

Agreed Bravo's a true gun. Certainly is a battle going on between Pathan and Bravo as the best up and coming all rounders. Bravo's caught and bowled at Adelaide was fantastic, loved the way he celebrated, true carribean style. :D

lol dont forget about Watson... *everybody laughs at Watson*

The West Indies have gone with an interesting side. They have left out Collymore and Samuels.

They West Indies have won the toss and elected to bowl.

Zimbabwe's best batsman is gone and it's 5/1.

Looking at the first few overs i've lost count of how many times to ball has spooned up in the air and hasn't carried. Realistically it could be 10-6 :p.

Zimbabwe 36/1 (17.1 Ovs)

Really slow so far. But the good news for Zimbabwe fans is that they only lost one wicket.
