Zoo Is Where The Heart Is - **Zoo Re opened**

I had some big plans for September. I had spoken to Covvy about releasing some of his younger Meerkats into the wild, though, at first he didn't really like the idea but allowed the go ahead anyway. I felt really bad about having to release my animals but I did agree to the conservation act, that if we were overcome with animals we had to either put them up for adoption from other zoos or release them into the wild. I allowed Covvy to go with them as we were taking them to Africa and I felt that he should be there instead of me. Plus it would give him abit of a chance to learn a little more about them over there so he could improve his already thriving colony.

It may have taken us some time but we did manage to find a cure for our sick Jaguar. She had a disease called "Cat-Scratch Fever". It was lucky we cured it because our head male had caught it just as we cured the female. We had even received $4,600 for finding a cure but for some reason it didn't go towards our research fund instead it went to cash grants. In the same instance I had the guys in the shops set the prices higher as I was reminded by one of our zookeepers in a meeting I'd had.

Once Covvy had returned, and it was lucky too, Darling had given birth to too more pups. Two males. Shortly after too, Spotty had given birth to male and female cubs. Ahhhh Tigers, they are so cute when they are little. Then they grow up and maul you.

Renee had come up to me with an idea. She'd heard that if we build an Elephant exhibit, and place a pink ball in there, one of the elephants could turn pink and we would have to cure that. This coming from the Director Of the NCPA. Wasn't a bad idea though. So I put the pieces in motion and away we went. While the constructionw as underway Renee and I went over the profits of all our shops and rides. We came across the Pony ride and found that it was decreasing in amount of sales. So using my intellect I had it removed. I also saw no point in having eight ATM's anymore so I had four of them removed.

Ok so my big plans weren't going to take affect this month. After going over all the accounting figures we just couldn't afford to go further into red. The Elephant exhibit went up quite quikckly and we had our Elephants put in. I had put Aditya in charge of them as they were quite close to his Aardvarks. Which I was informed the mother was pregnant again.

The last few days flew by so I thought we'll give jacking the entrance price up to its high level and see how we go. Surprisingly we got a bit of a flurry with guests. Maybe they thought the price was too cheap that's why they werent coming. Well in any case User's idea was working slightly, but it is early days yet.

Good stuff! :cheers

Oh man, the loss is too high and what happened to me in the story?

This game sounds very different and nice. Just read through this from the start. Intersesting stuffs. Also, it seems that we need to have hell a lots of patience to turn those figures from red to green? :p

October. Nearing the end of the first year, things were starting to get tight. We were trying to push the zoo for sales. Renee and I had our hands full pretty much most of the time. She was trying to juggle her job as a director, working at the zoo and being in a relationship with me. Some days I had to even send her home, just to get some sleep. There was alot going on. I had been under the suspicion that someone had been stealing from us. So I was going through all the survailance asking everyone questions. It was a tense time for everyone. Even though I had an investigation under way, it didn't stop our animals from getting it on and producing babies. So far it was the best thing to come out of this mess.

It got to a point where we didn't have the means to look after some of our animals. I had to put our two adolescent jaguars up for adoption because we just didn't have the resources to pay for an extension to their exhibit. It pained me to do so as I'd started to become attached to them a little. Had to release our adolescent female Grey wolf purely because she was trying to knock off our dominant female from top spot. We couldn't have that. Our female Jaguar however, had had two more little cubs so we balanced it out a little. Although, the Meerkats were still "rooting like rabbits" as far as the quote goes.

We eventually found our thief. He was an insider to a magazine company trying to dig up information to bring us down. In doing so he stole money and items from the gift shop. He was later arrested and charged for theft and conspiracy. I'd also like to add harrassment for the part that Renee and I had to play for spending all our nights together going over footage and reports. That was two weeks we'll never get back. Though, by this stage all our shops were doing really well. They were all in green. Now if only we could get enough sales to cover our expenditure, we'll be right.

The Sky Tower is a really popular attraction more popular than I had anticipated, and the gift shop was doing very, very well. Even our food stalls and carts were bringing a profit. But it still isn't enough to bring down our Costs.

I finally had time to relax and time to see my nephews. I hadn't really seen them since before our little theft occurence. I decided I would go visit them and take Renee to meet Adam, as she had not done so yet. Once we finally got to Steph's house, Byron came running out with so much excitement. I couldn't guess as to why but when we finally walked in the door Steph made us sit down while Renee got to hold Adam. We sat for ages, talking. Steph had decided to get a divorce from Darren as she'd found out he'd been having an affair with 3 other women. Also too, they had a fight about her will if she were to die. Steph wrote that should anything happen to her I'd get full custody of her kids, and everything she owned. I still couldn't understand why Byron was so excited though. He was only 5. Steph had asked me if she could live with me and bring the kids with her. In the background you could hear Byron chanting, "we're living with uncle Brendan, we're living with uncle Brendan." It was quite funny because he was running around the house saying it.

It would have been good to have my big sis live with me again especially seeing as Renee became attached to Adam. She didn't want to let him go. I thought it was cute and funny. Back at the Zoo and I had learned Covvy had to release Darling. As to why, he wouldn't say just that he had to. Bevab was actually doing his job properly because I had people coming up to me and recommending him to their friends. It's about time Bevab. It was good to see he stopped taking photos of random things and actually educated people.

Good update, and good to see some animals getting released/adopted. Nice to see that the loss has been driven back slightly.

My suggestion:Construct a Jeep tour all around your zoo. Also add tour objects. It might be costly in the beginning but it'll bring a huge profit later, I have often used it in money crisis to earn a lot of money.

Already ahead of you on the suggestion for the next update :p

^Marine exhibits are costly too, so might be a long time. The Jeep idea could get a lot of revenue.

Okay so now I believe is the time to put my grand plan into motion. I wanted to build a road safari. That's right I said it, a road safari. I had been looking into it for months and had to convince Steph it was a good idea. I had even used Renee to try to convince her to agree. You know how women love to chat, alot. So I thought I would somehow use that to my advantage. By having Renee talk to her about it, it would make it seem less expensive and more conservatory. It wasn't easy, but she finally went for it. Although, I did have to sacrifice something in return for Steph's approval. My beloved prehistoric bird I brought back to life. Steph had a point though. As much as I argued to keep it, I knew deep down she was right. We couldn't afford to keep it at this stage so I had to put it up for adoption.

So with the departure of my beloved super whats-it-called, we began demolsihing it's exhibit. In its place though, would be the start and finish of the Road Safari. I wanted to name it after the Super thing but both Renee and Steph told me to not be stupid. Renee and Steph were getting more along with each other every day. Moreso the fact that they were now living under the same roof. I didn't mind too much except when they ganged up on me. But they're lucky they can get away with it. Steph would just belt me and Renee would just refuse sex if I tried to bite back. So yeah I guess I'm a little whipped. Only a little though.

So anyway back on topic. While the building for the Safari was going up, I had hired some guys to build the dirt road the jeeps would drive along. Bigg E and Joe offered their assisstance when they could, but still had their other duties to attend to. In the process of the Roads being built User's adult male Fennec Fox, Crevan, passed into the afterlife. We are unsure of the cause at this stage as it is still quite a shock.

We had a little funeral for the little guy. It's was kinda special as there was only four of us there. User got a little teary as he was so attached to Crevan. So it was understandable for him to feel this way. Shortly after however, we learned that Spotty was pregnant again. In a way it was kinda a win lose situation. But anyway more good news was to follow. The road safari was finished and open. Finally.

Well with it now being the end of the month, I decided to take the last few days off. Mainly to take a bit of a break from all thats happening, but also to spend time with my woman and my family. I hadn't really seen aas much of them as i'd have liked too. Now's my chance. I might even take Renee away for the weekend for something, we'll see.

Small update, but okay. The profit bar might take atleast a year to get cured. Also good to see that the Zoo is 3 and a 1/2 stars. Any dinosaur exhibit? Might be expensive so wait patiently.

I enjoy the brisk pace of your story. I think its exciting more so because of the parallel storyline running along with it!.
Quite interested to know what will happen next!:)

I am quite enjoying this story. The storyline is really good. Presentation is really nice and as other members have said your writing is excellent. Keep up the good work, Brendan.
