The Bulldogs raced away earlier in that second term, with Griffen, Cooney and Murphy kicking the first three of the term. Just when it seemed it couldn't get worse for West Coast, Lynch pegged one back, converting from 40 metres out on a 45 degree angle.

That looked to be the last of the term before Mitch Brown and Eric Mackenzie snapped one each in the dying minutes to keep West Coast withing striking distance.

Ryan Griffen is on fire for the doggies, with 23 possessions, while Rosa has 16 for the home team in a typically consistent performance.

Goals (WCE): Lynch 2, Brown, Mackenzie
Top 3 Disposals (WCE): Rosa (16), Embley (15), Hunter (15)
Gone Cold (WCE): Swift (1)

Goals (WB): Murphy 2, Minson, Cooney, Harbrow, Griffen
Top 3 Disposals (WB): Griffen (23), Lake (15), Gilbee (14)
Gone Cold (WB): Everitt (0), Hargrave (1), Addison (2)

The Bulldogs are leading the way at Subiaco Oval by 15 points at the final change.

The Eagles and the Dogs traded goals in that term, but the Dogs managed to stretch the lead out slightly, to dent West Coast's hopes of an upset.

Embley and Rosa have been stellar for the Eagles in midfield, while Griffen and Gilbee more than held their own.

Josh Kennedy got a few goals in that quarter, and can prove to be the key to West Coast's success in the final quarter.

Goals (WCE):Lynch 3, Kennedy 2, Mackenzie, Brown
Top 3 Disposals (WCE): Embley (26), Rosa (23), Hunter (21)

Goals (WB): Murphy 3, Harbrow 2, Eagleton, Minson, Eagleton, Griffen, Gilbee
Top 3 Disposals (WB): Griffen (26), Gilbee (26), Lake (21)

West Coast Eagles 7.10.52
Western Bulldogs 10.7.67

Thought I'd do it this way because the game was a tight one. Match report still coming tomorrow.

Fourth Quarter:

West Coast nipped the first goal of the quarter thanks to some brilliant work from Josh Kennedy on the boundary line. Harbrow grabbed the next one for the Dogs, but goals from Ebert and McKinley drew the Eagles within three points.

Johnson and Kerr then traded goals, and the Eagles still trailed by 2 points with 4 minutes to go.

The ball is in the middle of the ground, when suddenly Cox taps it to Kerr from the ruck, he takes a bounce, dishes off to Waters who delivers a penetrating kick into the chest of McKinley, who slots it from 40 to put West Coast in front for the first time today.

WCE 12.13.85

2:15 remaining

And in the words of Blake in his story: To be continued....

Gonna win this mate, it`ll be a massive upset if you do, cant wait to see how the match ends up.

Ooh, the suspense.. :D

My tip - the Eagles by 10 points. I think they will kick another goal on their momentum and the Bulldogs will kick a point to finish. Hopefully it goes down to the wire though.

Good win for the Eagles, just like in real life eh?

Haha yeah.

Argghh crap I knew I was too tired to write this last night. So many typos, it's meant to say "The Eagles managed to outscore the Dogs 6.5 to 2.1 in the final quarter". :doh

dajesmac added 1 Minutes and 3 Seconds later...

Also the Bulldogs seem to have player named Rovert Murphy:(

Very even ladder, with 1-6 with the same amount of wins/losses. Good win for the Saints against the Dockers, bouncing back from last weeks shocking loss. Eagles are looking good so far, much better than last season. Might wanna change the title 'Probably Not', Jesse :p

Haha yeah alrighty. I'll probably get at least the prematch done for tonight, if not the game. The Ashes is on so yeah, haha.

Mmm, but I don't think FFX realises Hawthorn are dodgy again haha. Should be a close tussle though.
