Nice match mate,Australia played a lot better than South Africa and really deserved the win?

They did. Lee bowled well and Symonds batted marvellously.

Now this is something good, Symonds playing well:)

I did quite enjoy seeing him smash everything out of the park.

Nice stuff. Will follow :cheers

Appreciated Highlander. Thanks very much! :)

Pitch, Weather, Line-Ups and Toss

Pitch, Weather, Line-Ups and Toss

Richie Beanuad: Hello and welcome to the MCG for the 3rd match in this marvellous 10 over tri-series between Australia and South Africa. Here with me is Mark Nicholas and Bill Lawry. Mark, who do you think will triumph in todays clash?.

Mark Nicholas: Hello to our viewers, Bill and Richie. I think Australia will just be able to get over the line like they did in the enthralling game in Adelaide a few days ago. Don't underestimate South Africa though they are a strong side.

Bill Lawry: Complelety right Mark. I think that the South Africans will be up for this, they have come today to play a game of cricket not just to get beaten by the Australian team.

RB: I thought they had came here to play soccer *laughs*. Anyway moving on. Let's go down to Tony Greig for the pitch report.

Tony Greig: Thanks Rich. Well, I must say the groundsman has prepared an pretty even pitch here. It is good for batters but bowlers will get rewards if they bowl in the right spots. I would bat first and try and post a big score. The weather it is sunny, perfect weather for cricket. You won't find better conditions to play in than these. Just to recap, bat first and I would say a par score would be around 85-90. Back to you Rich.

RB: Thank you very much Tony. Let's take a look at the line-ups:

Australia

Gilchrist (wk)
Hayden
Ponting (c)
Clarke
Symonds
Hussey
Hodge
Hogg
Bracken
Lee
Tait

And now for South Africa:

Gibbs
Smith
Kallis
Ruldolph
Dippenar
Prince
Boucher
Pollock
Boje
Ntini
Nel

RB: Both sides are raring to go. We can tell that Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. We will be back after this short break.

Half-Way Update

RB: Welcome back to the MCG. Australia won the toss and batted first and it looked like a bad decision as two wickets fell in the first over bowled by Ponting.

TG: Yes, Rich. Australia were really on the ropes early but luckily some good batting from Hodge and Symonds got them to a defendable target of 7/93.

MN: I think the South Africans bowled really well. At the end they kept Hogg on strike so Hodge couldn't hit the bowling of Ruldolph, which the Australians enjoyed in the last game.

RB: Thank you all for your opinions. Let's take a look at some of the scorecards:

The Australian Batting Card

The South African Bowling Card

Hussey gets bowled by Boje - A crictical part of the match

Still RB: So South Africa require 94 runs to win at a rate of 9.4 per over. Don't go away, we will be right back after this short break.

Pollock bowled brilliantly, now South Africa have a good chance of chasing down this total.

Nice Pres mate:)

Australia Concvincly Defeat South Africa

RB: Welcome back to the MCG. Australia have just won there second game in a row defeating the South Africans by 34 runs. Bill, the Australians bowled well didn't they.

BL: Oh yes Richie, the Australians were so restrictive of giving away the South African batsmen runs. So many bowlers played vital roles by putting the ball in the right places, by keeping the runs down and taking wickets.

TG: One thing that hindered the Australians bowling perfromance was there fielding, three catches were dropped by the Australians, this is really a rare thing we see and they only had 10 overs to field. I'd be a bit worried if I was the fielding coach of the Australians.

RB: Let's see some scorecards from the innings:

South African Batting Card

Tait giving Gibbs some chin music. Tait said "That's from Griffo" which Gibbs responded: "Who?"

Still RB: So to wrap up today's game Australia win by 34 runs. Now we will head down to Mark Nicholas for the match presentation.

Match Presentation

MN: Thanks Richie. Well folks, today's game unfortunately couldn't live up to the standards set when these two teams last time met but it still was an entertaining game nontheless. Firstly I would now like to call to the stage South African captain Graeme Smith. Graeme, once again you fell short of the mark. Why is that?

GS: Australia are a class side and even when they had there backs to the wall they stood and and ended up posting a good score. Also they bowled quite, particuarly Tait and Clarke.

MN: Do you still think you can make the finals?

GS: Well we have played 3, lost 2 and won 1. So it is going to be very hard but we will be trying our best in the up and coming matches that we have to play.

MN: Thanks for your time Graeme. Now I am glad I have to do once less interview today. Please welcome to the stage Australian captain and today's Man of the Match, Ricky Ponting. Ricky, you had the last over today, what was it like bowling the last over?

RP: It was great fun. With the game out of South Africa's reach I thought I would come on and have a bit of a bowl. Unfortunately I did get hit for two sixes but they were near the fielder so it is all right.

MN: You made a duck today, that must've been a bit of a low point for you.

RP: Yeah it was Mark. I had a decent knock in the last game and to get a duck is always dissapointing. I guess the bowling made up for it a little bit.

MN: Ladies and Gentlemen today's man of the match, Ricky Ponting. Back to you Richie.

Ponting would want to put this in his scrapbook, it was for his bowling!

RB: Thank you very much for that Mr Nicholas. Now let's take a look at the table:

As you can see, Australia are way ahead of the pack on 11 points. South Africa have 6 points from 3 games and England have just the 1 point from the one game they have played. We thank you for joining us down here at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, we hope you can join us next time when Australia takes on England at the Adelaide Oval. Goodbye!

Yeah, I thought I would give it to him since the required run rate was like over 40.

I tried to dowload the player editor once. It didn't turn out well. Ask Colin.

Download the aus Chanel 9 overlay and maybe the 255 Batpack.

You dont need player editor for those.

Australia are playing really well in this series. Ponting was a real surprise with the ball.:p Great presentation LH:)

Okay. Kooka, I will try to download the overlay. It would add to the Channel 9experience with the commentators that I am adding into it.

Thanks for your support! :)
