Kolkata's win ensures the 3rd all IPL final in 6 editions, and also an IPL winner lifting the trophy for the 4th time.

Somebody just go in and give MSD a mighty whack! His decisions continue to be baffling. When Du Plessis got out at 13.4 overs, Dhoni thought its not yet time for the final blow and decides to send out Negi ahead of himself. And that too when the likes of Jadeja and Ashwin are still back in the hut, he sends NEGI OUT???? WTF?? Dhoni got good justice for that, getting out for a golden duck.

Bravo rescued CSK here, but still dont think this total is enough against a rampaging batting lineup like Punjab. Prediction - Punjab to win this in the 17th or 18th over.

How much has Negi batted before in IPL? Dhoni could well have sent in Jadeja or Ashwin if he needed someone as a shield for Dhoni himself. And at the 14th over, how long do you want to wait before you come out? Why does the guy always have to wait that long before coming out? What's this theory with him and the end overs? Can he only score during those end overs?

Meh .. it was not that big a deal compared to some real bafflers that he has done over the years

Infact a good decision to give Nehra the 3rd over. Usually 2 over spells is the norm

KXIP still have Miller, Bailey and Perera. CSK cannot rest easy until these three are back in the hut for cheap.

Edit: As I say it, Bailey GOES!!! Two more to go (Miller and Perera). Hope CSK get them quick. A final without the opposition's big impact player would be a lip smacking proposition.[DOUBLEPOST=1412269008][/DOUBLEPOST]

They might as well drop him and pick someone else. No use in playing him if he can't bowl.[DOUBLEPOST=1412269058][/DOUBLEPOST]Holy moly, what's happening here! 34/6???

He was sent out to score some quick runs and he seemed to be off to a good start after the 1st ball 6, Dhoni usually takes a few balls to get in before getting going, so I thought it was a good call, but I would've sent Jadeja ahead but with the same instructions.[DOUBLEPOST=1412269260][/DOUBLEPOST]KXIP completely getting played off the park here, quite enjoyable given the 3 high scoring ass whippings they've given us this year.

So of all days today is the day Kings XI decide not to fire!

Between CSK and Kolkata I would go for CSK to win. I was rooting for Kings XI, but this one seems done and dusted.

BTW just hearing stuff about Narine not being able to bowl in the Final. Is it for his bowling action? Also does this ban apply only for the final or for the WI tour too?

Yes, he's been reported for suspect action in back to back games, but with this being a domestic competition, I doubt it will have any effects at the international level, maybe if it was an ICC sanctioned tournament (like it should be) there would be consequences at the international level too.

Well done CSK! Wouldn't call this a revenge (because we lost thrice in a row vs KXIP in the IPL), but this does feel really good.

Time to now take on the current IPL champions! And that too without Narine. I think CSK wouldn't mind even if Narine was part of the final. We haven't struggled vs Narine too badly.
