Central Punjab scale Lahore's 310 with the help of Irfan Khan Niazi's unbeaten hundred, the first by a Central Punjab batsman in the Pepsi Cup, and shatter the dreams of Lahore's fans at the Gaddafi Stadium! Central Punjab's batsmen had been dismissed in the 'nervous 90s' multiple times in the Pepsi Cup, but Irfan Khan Niazi broke that jinx with a four and a six in the same over to score the first hundred of his team. A supporting hand from Mitchell Santner helped Irfan Khan Niazi drag his team across the finish line, and shattered Lahore's fans hearts by denying them a playoffs berth. Lahore made an astounding comeback and won five games in a row after losing their first three, but the damage done by their initial losing streak was far too great to overcome, as a loss here sent them crashing out of the Pepsi Cup in heartbreaking manner.
