@lonewolf Hi mate, been busy this week, but im available now for the rest of today, and also i will be available from about 1400hrs tomorrow, so leave me a message here or on psn.

neway krishh u said u want to pplay on thursday i dnt remember wot time did u say 2:00am GMT?

Yes dude! 9pm EST will be abt 2 am GMT. Let me know if it is too late for u, we can catch up the next day then

krish1712 added 12 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...

request all others to check their stats and nrr as well

@Lilas11: Just a minor correction while calculating the NRR. I think while calulating the NRR the incomplete overs are not being calculated correctly. Example: For the game between Australia(thandamilk) vs South Africa(Fasih82), for Fasih82 NRR, you have divided the total runs by 9.5 overs. But, 9.5 overs is actually 9.833 overs in decimals when you have to calculate NRR.

I don't think it is a big deal, but just wanted to point out.

@Krish which calculating nrr you use actual number of overs and not decimals

You do actually use decimals. In a 50 over match, say a team batting second faces 45.2 overs, the denominator in the equation is 45 2/6, i.e. 45.33. The denominator is not 45.2.

Minor point, but just clarifying since it was brought up.

Me and lonewolf have just completed our first game, result is on p16 of the thread.

Good game mate, just a pity the game lost connection when it did, just didnt have the same intensity finishing like that.

well gougie even with the lost i feel it is the best game i have ever played
it had all the ingredients of an actual cricket game with pressure mounting with every ball
won it in the last over itself so its a really good game

Final score

SL: 137/9 in 20 overs
NZ: 138/8 in 19.4 overs

MOM : J Oram for his terrific innings of 34* to see kiwis home

Thandamilk I just used the following link where it explains using 47.2 overs for south africa to calculate nrr:
Cricinfo - Net Run Rate explained
this is from 99 world cup, has it changed?

@lonewolf, gougie: great game guys looking forward to the return game

Yeah it was a cracking game, but you no what i mean, all the excitement built up in the first game, you carnt get that from just playing 8 overs a few days later.

It is mentioned there also that 147.2 overs is = 147.333 overs for NRR calculation. It is pretty logical. If you take 9.5 overs= 9.5 for calulating NRR, then how can u take 9.6 to be equal to 10. There is a difference there. So all the incomplete overs need to be converted to decimal value.

FOR
South Africa had scored, so far in the tournament:
Against India, 254 runs (for 6 wkts) from 47.2 overs
Against Sri Lanka, 199 runs (for 9 wkts) from 50 overs
Against England, 225 runs (for 7 wkts) from 50 overs
Across the three games, South Africa scored 678 runs in a total of 147 overs and 2 balls (actually 147.333 overs), a rate of 678/147.333 or 4.602 rpo.
