Match Report: Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first on a batting paradise at the Melbourne Cricket Ground against a fired up West Indies side fresh from their encounter with the Australians.
Rouch seems to be making a habit of picking up a wicket in his first over, he did it the other night against Australia and he did it again tonight, this is the bowler that West Indies manager RizzyX tipped off for being the most succesful in the attack in pre tournament discussions, and so far it is proving right. West Indies were 3 for 16 when Ashraful began to work away his magic. His innings had it all, the class, the elegence and firepower, it was a one man show, the Ashraful show, no other batsman got past 17 and Ashraful made almost a 100 runs more than that. Bangladesh finished with some momentum on their side by finishing their innings on 162 all out, but one had the feeling they were still many runs short on this surface.
West Indies, again began with the same fireworks as they are now customed to, they bought up their 50 in only 4.2 overs and 100 in the 11th over, they lost 5 wickets in the process with some rash shot selection, their is room for improvement in the Windies batting department, they need to work the ball around more especially of they only require a run a ball as they did after there blitsering start. Play came to a halt when the lights went off (connection) and had to be resumed the following day. West Indies needed 55 to win with 5 wickets in hand from 9 overs, and well they managed it in only 3.2 overs without losing any further wickets, Pollard doing the damage with a sensational 37 not out.

Very well played Lone, just to point out, that this is the first championship defeat for Lilas after an incredible 10 games.
And another record for this game is that Lonewolf has become the first player not to be bowled out by Lilas in a championship game.
