2nd PS3 T20 Champions Trophy- Completed

Yeah really sorry mate, i wouldnt have started the game if i new they were coming around, or i would have taken the ps3 into the bedroom out of the way, everyone walked in as Butler was about to bowl, so cheers mate i will take you up on the offer of a replay, because i dont mind loosing the game but my nrr would really have suffered with that.
Also i will start to put a little match report in, with top scores and wicket takers, only reason i didnt was thanda and cheese posted the scores so i didnt bother.

Guys, just finished a game with Rizzy. Match report will be posted by Rizzy. I am online now so if anyone from my group wants a game please message me!

Group B- Kenya (Krish1712) vs West Indies (RIZZYX)

Venue: Calcutta (Hosted by Kenya)

Toss: West Indies won and electected to bat first.

West Indies: 108/10 (11.4 Overs)
R Sarwan 40 (21)
P Ongunde 3/8 (2.0 Overs)

Kenya: 110/2 (10.4 Overs)
P Ongunde 50 (36)
K Rouxh 1/21 (3.4 Overs)

MOM: P Ongunde for his all round performace
Result: Kenya won by 8 Wickets
Points: Kenya=3 WI=0

Match Report: Kenya opened their account in the the second T20 Championship against West Indies who suffered their first loss against Australia last night. Today was a different day, a different oppenent and a different venue, but would the result be any different for West Indies?

West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first on a batting paradise at Calcutta, they scored 17 from their first over but lost Hinds in the process, another flurry of wickets had them in trouble at 27/4, but they recovered to 65/4 after 6 overs. Spin was introduced and it put further deants in the Windies batting line up, the first Ogunde over got 2 wickets for Kenya. Chanderpaul failed again and fell first ball and all hopes rested on captain Chris Gayle but when he fell it was curtains for the Windies, 108 all out, with a staggering 8.2 overs stillt to go in their innings, there was no chance this would be enough.

Kenya came out with great intent and played some dazzling strokes, there were a very few near chances early on with Rauch bowling a great spell but other than that it was Kenya's show, an unbeated partnership of 76 between Ongunde and Obinka saw them home with just under half their overs to spare. Kenya showed that warm up games are worth nothing as they put 2 defeat against the Windies in pre tournament matches well and truely behind them.

If ever the same team can play two completley different quality of games, it has to be West Indies, in their 4 games of the championship they have played both exceptionally well and misrabley poor, can they turn the tables around once more to stand a chance of qualyfying to the super six stage, time will only tell. Kenya on the other hand have prenounced their arrival in this championship, they may well be underdogs but expect the unexpected from them in future matches.

Very well played Krish you caught me off guard, i need to work on my over attacking nature, not good enough being bowled out with half the overs to go, whilst i was going at 10 an over. This match is going to really hamper my net run rate though, will really need to play well from here.

On a positive note Rouch has now made it 4 games in 4 to pick up a wicket in his first over lol

I was really looking forward to this game as both of you have been my toughest opponents to date. Congrats Krish thats the lowest total I have seen Rizzy score... I had my money on kenya at the start as the dark horse its still early days in the tourney but this win definitely puts them up as one of the front runners for lifting the cup....Things seem to be really hotting up in both groups .. xtremedesix, psymax78 and hmarka please try and get a few games in soon....

Also I am glad people are thinking about NRR .. adds so much more to the tournament

Tough result Rizzy; Krish - good game. I've only played you once during our practice match a few days back, but I agree with Lilas, you've got to be the dark horse for going the whole nine yards. Good luck.

I'll be online around 8AM CT tomorrow and will have a couple of hours then. If that works for you let me know and we'll get our game then.

just ask psymax lilas as he is a very regular AC09 player
and if he is not playin there is gotta be something
lets hope he does not backs out like akill

Guys the tournament is looking great. Thanks for the match reports, keeps me interested to see who's doing well. If anyone needs any practice matches Im your man, I can bowl quite well but im poor at batting so its good batting practice for you guys. pm me anytime if i dont reply in 5 mins ignore me. It is due to the kids being on who just end up playing bloody fifa all the time!

i know how ya feel .....:facepalm

hey everyone just played cheesesarni and i was 158/2 off 14.5 overs and its just lost connection what should we do now because its the second time this has happened to us!!

make it a 15 over game or apply D/L method and set the target for 20 overs for cheesarni to chase
