And he's struggling with no-balls. Warne says there is a slope. If it's true, then he's probably struggling with that. I personally hate bowling down a slope, too easy to lose your run-up.
The line he's bowling would be great to Cook, but he should try and reproduce that first delivery again to Strauss. If Australia get Strauss cheaply then they're into our very weak middle order. Still cannot comprehend why Trott wasn't picked.
It just seems more and more perverse to pick Broad. One of the reasons he was in was that Flintoff wasn't bowling a full complement of overs so we needed a 5th bowler. With no Flintoff 5 bowlers is overkill especially at Headingley where the wicket tends to be bowler-friendly anyway.
Extra batsman was a no brainer for me. Trott for Broad.
Siddle is bowling with good pace, best I've seen his pace all series. Now stay on the 1st and 3rd ball line. He keeps drifting onto leg, he was lucky not to be punished again for the 2nd ball he bowled this over.
A problem with being Australian, we, and our opponents, have to put up with second rate umpires because of a stupid rule that insists that umpires must be biased.
Maybe we could pull and India and threaten to take our bat and ball and go home?
