4th Test: England v Australia at Leeds

Oh and so much for Prior resting his back ;) BTW teams seriously need to ban playing soccer/rugby before a match. So many injuries have come from them.

Prior won't last long. I'd love him to, as I massively enjoy watching him bat, but I can't see it happening. 51 all out still looking good.

Each of the bowlers have a wicket now.

Gah, this is painful to watch. Really is. Cook the only man into double figures, has outscored everyone else single-handedly. Also has faced more balls than the rest combined.

The fact that Trott wasn't picked is not the reason for the collapse. Playing Bopara is. Strauss played a loose shot but clearly had a lot on his mind, and Bell got a great ball. Colly isn't that good a batsman anyways. Bopara shouldn't be there, least of all batting at 3.

The fact that Broad over Trott only makes the 42/4 seems worse, it's not the reason England are in this mess.

So Ravi Bopara's single handedly to blame for England being 42/4 :laugh I know people like to have a scapegoat, but that's very harsh. He played a bat shot, he's not going enough to be batting 3, but he is not the sole reason we're in this position.

How bad is this England line-up. I'm not trying to be a prick or anything but this team just looks so bad.

Bopara
Bell
Broad

Those three players shouldn't even be playing. I would of played Trott over Broad and just have Collingwood chip in with a few overs.

To be fair to the selectors it comes down to more than not playing Trott for Broad. Bopara should be nowhere near the squad as I've said consistently since his first test match, Bell looks flakely but I'm happy to give him a chance and Colly looks woeful atm.
This sort of score was only avoided at Edgebaston by poor umpiring wrt Ian Bell. Batting is weak.
Bad news that all 4 seamers have a wicket each. Will boost their confidence.

Wow, playing only 5 specialist batsmen + Prior, Broad and Swann was such a risk that has not payed off. You can't rely on Broad and Swann to hang around long. Prior could easily go too.

On the other side of things; 4 pacers = win. Stuart Clark = win.

Im not being a prick either but every time I see the NZ line up i feel the same thing :p

Johnson is straying a bit in line lately. Needs to try that full swinging ball again. Or another bouncer.

Don't know why England went on the attack for, no need to put Broad at 7, the extra batter is what you use when you are 1-0 up.

You shall all stop bagging the selection once Broad makes a century!

Johnson getting a little wayward.

Good point. McIntosh and Guptill are one of the worst opening pairs in World Cricket.

Bopara's not good enough to be batting 3, think that's a certainty now. He scored 2 tons in 2 innings there, but that was against an under-cooked Windies, and he was dropped in both innings. He is good enough to play Test cricket, I'm sure of that, just not good enough to bat 3.

Prior is so loose. Why Ponting doesn't have another slip at 60odd/4 is beyond me.
