4th Test: England v Australia at Leeds

Johnson can bat a bit,if he supports North well,Aus then can get to 300+lead

Yes,he can,but Eng bowling well with this new ball,if England manages to get another quick wicket, then Aus "might not" get 300+ lead...depends...lets see..

Thinking of what England need to do, to just save this test, makes my head hurt. We'll have to score 600+...

Bob Willis... yeah, fantastic effort that. What was it...8 for 43? Longest run-up in the world! I think most batsmen were half asleep by the time he got to the crease!:D

Yep, was indeed 8/43. He had an epic run up, used to run in from wide long off and curve his way into the crease. What a guy. :laugh

Another quality pull shot, this time from Johnson. Creamed right off the middle over slip.

Interesting to note, Jonathan Trott's playing for Warwickshire, made 79 from 121 as they were bowled out for 261. Why didn't they pick him? :(

"I think I find it rather indignifying of you, and other commentators to bandy about Lily Allen's name in conjunction with Onions," writes a feedbacker. "And all this because of a tweet? Soon she'll be suing you guys for slander!" It's hardly slanderous to repeat what she herself said, and I didn't even mention the fact she said he "goes for days".

Sorry for nicking this from the cric-info commentary but thought it worthwhile!:D

I`m tipping a innings victory, why not? With a middle order like Bopara,Bell,Collingwood,Prior, game`s as good as won.

Because we are English and are conservative and don't like taking gambles.

I think we can make Australia bat again. I still don't think we will win but we will put in a more solid performance next innings. (Famous last words!)

I think the whole reason we're in this mess because we were being overly agressive not conservative. The conservative thing to do would have been going in with 4 bowlers rather than 5

Have to give it to North, he's looking really good, even with the bowlers bowling well. That cover drive in the last over was excellent.

North's only so good coz he learned his stuff at Lancs obviously. ;)

One of my favourite overseas players is Marcus.

Watching that Haddin hook, that is one of the worst shots technically I've seen in Test cricket from a Top 7 for a long time. Makes Ravi Bopara look like Sunil Gavaskar. That's exactly how I'd have looked playing that shot, laughable really.

He just played a rash shot. Will you bring this shot up if anyone tries to say Haddin's a better test batsmen then Prior?

They were being considerate to Warwickshire; if he had been picked, and you subtract his runs, that's being bowled out for under 200. :O Instead, England decided to play 2 batsmen, 3 tryhard batsman and Steve Harmison. However, don't get me into this, it's late and I don't need a headache. :)
