Your Cricket 78 wickets down, 22 to go...

True, and also, stepping up to County standard is a huge step up, for clubs, you never play longer than a day, and i'm guessing at that 52-48 time games or a variation of that.

Also, the step up from county to international is massive, a player that comes to mind is Ian Blackwell, who has played for Durham and scored thousands of runs for them, yet has only played a couple of England matches, Jonathan Trott is the only real recent example of somebody stepping up into the test arena and scoring a century on his debut for England, in the 5th Ashes Test.

Alright, let's not get too starry eyed. Trev wont be playing Internationals anytime soon :p

Really? How do players cope with playing 4 day County cricket if clubs only play 50 overs and less cricket. It must be hard for new comers to Domestic cricket if club cricket doesn't play over one day, and I don't see how they would be selected.

I think our system works differently to the Aus/NZ systems.

Obviously there are the 18 county teams, and then below them there is county's 2nd XI (who play 1 Day Games and 3 Day Games) and then below that is the county's Academy side which is primarily full of youngsters. All of the county sides have age groups between U13 - U17 or maybe U18, not sure.

Below the county sides are the Minor Counties, which tbh, no one really cares about :p.

Then there are the 1st XI Club Leagues, it's pretty rare for someone to be taken out of these, normally you have to have been picked up in the younger teams or the Academy side.

Where I live (Surrey) I believe the 2nd XI side sometimes plays at the Guildford ground, and they occasionally may pick up a few of the Guildford 1sts players, bit that is fairly rare and they usually don't make it much further.

Another 4 wickets today, but we lost by 1 wicket with 3 balls left. I bowled the last over trying to defend 7 but the lightning fast outfield allowed their number 11 hit a four 3rd ball.

Good idea, I will do just that.

Bowled well yesterday, and unbelievably bowled 42 dot balls out of 46. Just the four scoring shots came off my bowling, all of which went to the boundary, leaving my with figures of 3 for 16 off 8 overs with 5 maidens. Came in and hit 15* to chase down their score with 4 wickets remaining. Overall a good day for me personally, especially seeing as I got 2 catches, one the best I have ever taken, a sharp low catch at first slip off our Aussie pace bowler.
