No wonder most of my pulls have been rubbish. Guess I'll bump up academy investment after I finish buying a few more players.

Each week you are able to recruit a new player into your youth squad. There is a large random element involved regarding the skills of a new recruit. Having a higher youth academy level will increase the chances of recruiting a star of the future.

Where do you guys get this stuff from, I can't find any link?

Just make sure you can afford it, once your wages are too high it becomes very tricky to just maintain that extra 20k you are investing.

A post by Ste a while back suggests a good academy gives you a good youth pull every week which could in turn pay back the losses and then start making you money. My money is going no where atm so I'm definitely considering doing that once my players become good enough to make me a sizable profit.

Fairly pants pulls this season, but I am pretty sure you generally get better pulls from better academies. It would makes sense, too.

That's true. I'll have to see how much I have left and what my wages are and weigh up whether it's the best choice to invest further.

Same with me. It's only just gone to reasonable today so your one may pop within the next 2 weeks or so.

Trust me. It will take more than 3 weeks at jus tthe level above. I've had like 4 or 5 weeks at an inadequate youth academy with putting in the amount required for reasonable and I just put in $25,000 that last academy update.

Guys, while having a good youth academy does increase your chances of a good pull, this is only by a very small amount. It is still completely random. The rules make it seem that it makes a huge difference. Ash (the game developer) himself has said that it dosen't make much of a difference.

I can confirm this using my experience. When I had a meagre youth academy (for about two seasons), I was getting excellent pulls, and I still get some pretty good pulls with my non-existent academies. Guys like former world number 1, vaibhav, has a deluxe youth academy, yet he gets turd pretty much every week.

So don't invest high in your academies and assume that you will automatically get good pulls... I can assure you, you will just go bankrupt, and your chances of a good pull may be around 1-2% better. Only increase your investments if your budget allows it and you think it'll benefit your players to have slightly better training.

Actually I'm not wrong, I said nothing about the amount.

I didn't realise how small the effect actually was, though I wasn't under the impressions it was massive either, and still knew there was a massive random factor. I was just identifying the general trend.
