Azharuddin stays at the Indian helm
India's selectors have kept faith with Mohammad Azharuddin, retaining him as captain for the coming tour of England.
Vishwanath said Kambli had not even been considered during the selection meeting, which gives strength to speculation that he has been overlooked for behavioural reasons. Kambli`s place is taken by fellow left-hander Sourav Ganguly, 23, also a right-arm seamer, a player without Test experience who toured Australia in 1991 but who has since been overlooked by the selectors.
India are also bringing two wicket-keepers, Nayan Mongia and uncapped Shakti Makwana.
