A recovery CD. You poor, poor man. Recovery CDs are the worst type of installations. I'm afraid your only option is to run the recovery CD and re-install everything.

Before you do that, if you've added any hardware recently remove it.
 
Right click on your Desktop....Properties....Desktop Tab....Customize Desktop Button....Press One of icons....Change Icon... You can work it out from there
 
in my p.c hibernate takes almost 7 - 8 mins
Earlier it took only seonds

goto tools---->internet options----->programs---> and check the last box

I have a question. Im getting a new comp but it doesnt have a Video Card. It also doesnt have a floppy drive. The drive is optional. My question is that will i be able to install the Vid Card from my old comp onto my new one? I dunno wat card is on my current comp. Can u pls tell me how I can find the info for wat card is on my comp? My current comp is a win 98 SE. It was manufactured in mid 2000. its a P3. pls help me out here.
 
Hi jeremy or jerome, whatever

Goto run--- type dxdiag and click on ok.
The goto display tab and you would be able to see every details of your card on the old pc..

And as far as the new pc is concerned ... it is not possible that it does not have a video card but if you didn't had and inbuild video card in the old pc then you may be able to attach the card to your new pc...
