I need some help from you guys. I have P4 and a laptop. I want to format the hard drive of Pentium 4 but there are some patches which I don't want to loose. Otherwise I've to download again and again. Is there anyway to transfer files from P4 to my laptop?

I have Win XP PRO and 98 SE on P4 and Win XP Home editons.

There are several ways, depending on how much data you want to keep.

If it is a small amount and you have a CD-writer, then the obvious thing is to write a CD.

If there is a lot more, and you have network capabilities, do it that way (network cable is quite cheap)

If neither of these options are available to you, you'd have to do it the extremely long and tedious way, by creating a multi part rar file, with each segment being the size of a floppy disk, and then using a disk to transfer the files.

Hi guys
Im having problems in Win98. There were some problems with Win98 previously so I had to format my drive and reinstall windows. Everything went welland now I've got everything working as I wanted except for 1.

Now I am not able to install new fonts, I dont know why but the font folder is working like everyother folder. I tried to remove the customisation(yes it was a customised folder, I was also surprised by that) but nothing worked for me. I tried reinstalling Windows but that too didnt work.

Now can you guys help me how to get the fonts working once again?

:cheezy: hey guys - for the past few weeks i've been getting an ugly error on my pc. actually i was trying to install Max Payne on my system - when i received this error. it said - "Incompatible versin of the RPC stub." It just wouldn't install the games/softwares which i earlier had on my syatem.

so i thought of upgrading my system from Win 98 SE to Win Me. but to my horror the prob. still persists. can neone plz help me with this error. it's killing me. :cheezy:

Here is an interesting easter egg present in Excel 2000
This is what you have to do:-
1>Open new file.
2>Under file menu, do 'Save as Web Page'
3>Say 'Publish Sheet' and 'Add Interactivity'
4>Save to some htm page on your drive. (I saved it as page.htm on my desktop)
5>Load the htm page with IE. You should have Excel in the middle of the page.
6>Scroll to row 2000, column WC. Select row 2000,(by clicking on the left side on the row names) and tab so that WC is the active column.
7>Hold down Shift+Crtl+Alt nad click the Office logo in the upper-left.
8>If you have DirectX, you will be playing what looks like spy hunter. Use the arrow keys to drive, space to fire, O to drop oil slicks, and when it gets dark, use H for your headlights.:

I'm facing the following problem, please help!
Whenever the internet connection slows down or any website is unavailable, we get a customized page from MSN Search but for the last few days, I'm getting a page from Internet Optimizer. I use IE 6 and I don't remember installing anything like Internet Optimizer (http://www.internetoptimizer.com/) at all.

I want to get rid of it and get my old default MSN page back. Please help!!

internet optimizer is a sort of browser hijacker ........

you instantly need to download the "spybot- search and destroy" software or adaware.......

download quickly before your system crashes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(believe me i have experienced it!)

I have tried using that but it is unable to solve the problem...
