If I had played, the target would have been under 200.

WOW! WHAT A GAME! @Parth D well played, mate! @AliB you batted well too. Kumarjit Biswas was on fire! @CerealKiller solid presentation, mate!

Now coming onto my own side, I must say the performance had many loopholes. The openers got starts, but as usual they couldn't convert. The signs of great players are that when they do get starts, they convert them but alas why am I expecting a Jonty Rhodes from Inzamam-ul-Haq?

Unfortunately, I got out through an unexpected slower one on bowl #1, but it's all part & parcel of the game. After all, I was due one failure too. However, I should have been better and I take responsibility of that, unlike some other members of our side....

It was my call to bring Hafeez back into the ODI squad and oh boy has he repaid the trust, first with the bat and then with the ball! My deputy wasn't too happy with bringing back a 40-year-old but hey age's just a number!

Bowling was pretty good against the quality of the Indian batsmen. So, not too many complaints there.

Looking forward to the next game! One last chance for those that haven't fired in the Afg series nor in this game! So, those players must up their game in the next match or otherwise be ready to warm the bench!

You wanted Faheem Ashraf as an AR! LITTLE SHIT! I was the one who mentioned Hafeez!

You mentioned Hafeez. There's a huge difference in mentioning a player and selecting him. I selected him in the squad as the captain. And I even backed him over the youngsters for the playing XI.

But it seems that common sense isn't that common in our team's openers...

24.4 Nawaz to Bubere, one run, Dropped! Raza made a big mess of that simple chance
24.6 Nawaz to Bubere, one run, Dropped! Leo made a big mess of that simple chance

JESUS :/ .

44.6 Hussain to Apte, one run, The misfield by Nazim allows yet another run

Apte was desperate to retain the strike and tapped the ball to point for a suicidal run, but Umair Nazim fumbled it! He didn't even bother to release the throw, as the batsmen had already reached safety. Apte is now on strike with 3 required. India in the driver's seat.

India need 3 runs in 30 balls, with 1 wicket in hand.

45.1 Hafeez to Apte, two runs, Overthrow by Nazim, instead of 1 they get 2

What is going on?! Another tap to point, another suicidal run attempted by Apte, and another blunder by Umair Nazim! He throws it way too wide for Leo to execute an easy run-out, the ball goes to deep fine leg, and Apte scampers back for the second, when there wasn't even one there. Not only do India level the scores, but the recognised batsman is on strike. Nazim probably wants to dig a hole and disappear in it.
JESUSSSSSSSSS!!!! You nearly lost us the game twice, had it not been for Hafeez's brilliance. We could've easily won if you had concentrated a little. Now, you should've taken responsibility like I did of my golden duck but of course that will seem to be professional behaviour.

This is what happens when while I am giving the lads some fielding drills, you are busy sight seeing in Mumbai. Unprofessional behavior comes back to bite one, bud! Karma...

I am thinking of retirement now :)
'Better late than never'

Good for you to think about retiring especially after the way you atrociously field. I must say that this would be a great decision for the team, and you might end up saving a little bit of respect and grace. And of course, the viewers will no longer have to tolerate seeing you limping on the field.

I think we should not delay this noble act. @CerealKiller thoughts about calling an emergency farewell press conference for Umair?

Now it will be the fun :p

Disappointed not to make an impression early in the tournament. Will probably get better as the series goes on. Wonderful bowling from @Mijurkat and an excellent innings from @AliB . We could've won this but nevertheless a good start for us.

Two of Mumbai's Superstar had played really well today - Hit-Man & Ali-Baba @AliB . Our lower order needs to play with more responsibility. We will win the upcoming matches. :D
