India should be looking for around 270 now. Tendulkar is set so he should lift the tempo to help India to reach that score.

Dravid has wasted many deliveries.. If Sachin had not fired at the right time, India would have been in trouble.. Still, India might fell short of 20-30 runs which they could have managed.

Excellent going! :banana2

Dravid's batting has been far to slow for these circumstances. India would be livid if they lost because of his slow batting. Australia are still in the hunt but they're going to have to bat well.

Lee Strikes With Next Ball - India 3/262 (48.2)

After completing an emphatic century, Indian number 3 Sachin Tendulkar fell to returning paceman Brett Lee for an even century to leave India at 3/262 with under 2 overs remaining in their innings.

Lee, coming back from a serious foot injury, had the master blaster caught on the mid wicket boundary by Michael Hussey, attempting to lift the score towards the 300 mark. It completes a dominant 88 ball innings from Tendulkar, who has been the one aggressive batsman on a slow Delhi deck.

India 3/262 (48.2)
S. Tendulkar 100 (88)
R. Dravid 38* (65)

B. Lee 1/42 (5.2)
M. Clarke 0/55 (9)

Brett Lee - Back With A Bang

Lee Claims Yuvraj - India 4/264

Brett Lee continued on his impressive comeback by claiming the wicket of Yuvraj Singh for only 1 run as India lost their 4th wicket with the score on 264. Singh was clean bowled attempting to loft Lee over the mid on boundary in the chase for quick runs with only 1 whole over remaining.

Dhoni Sent Packing - Lee Strikes Again

Brett Lee picked up with wicket of Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni to claim his third wicket of the over as India slipped to 5/264. Dhoni was bowled middle stump for a first ball duck, going for a slog over the mid wicket fence. The over may prove crucial for Lee, who had previously been expensive when attacked by Gahmbir, Sehwag and Tendulkar early in the innings.

Unfortunately for the New South Wales quick, a hat trick was unable to be attempted, with the wicket falling on the end of the 49th over.

Indian has certainly pushed back 20-30 runs behind in the end.. I would say, its going to be in Aussie control from now on.. I don't have much confidence in Indian bowling :p

Great presentation as always :banana2

The momentum has certainly swung back in Australia's favour. India will dissapointed with how they've finished the innings. Lee can still get his hattrick in the next game, which would be a unusual way to get your hattrick.

Brett Lee has given the Aussies some momentum towards the end of this Indian innings. Some good batting by Tendulkar, but with way Lee has bowled on his comeback, is just sensational

Dravid Celebrates Lengthy Half Century - India 5/281 (49.5)

In stark contrast to Sachin Tendulkars blistering century, Rahul Dravid has completed a controlled and lengthy half century to guide his side to 5/281 with only 1 ball remaining. In an innings which appeared to annoy many of the home fans, Dravid's unbeaten 50 came from 69 balls, including 4 boundaries and one six.

India 5/281 (49.5)
R. Dravid 50* (69)
S. Raina 5* (2)

B. Hilfenhaus 1/53 (8.5)
B. Lee 3/44 (6)

Tourists Set 283 For Victory

The Indian top order were very much to thank as India compiled 282 from their 50 overs to hold a strong position in the first ODI in Delhi. An aggressive century from Sachin Tendulkar helped India post a target which will be difficult for Australia to chase down.

The Delhi pitch appears to be far slower than first expected, and the Australian top order must lead from the front if the tourists are to hold any chance of victory in the crucial first match.

I don't think India have scored enough runs considering the position that they were in. I'm backing an Australian win.

Haddin and Marsh Prepare To Chase

Australian openers Shaun Marsh and wicket-keeper Brad Haddin strode to the Delhi crease as they prepared to chase down 283 for an important first victory in the triangular one day series.

Marsh will look to recapture the form that made him such a success in the first installment of the Indian Premier League, while Haddin will look to get use to relatively foreign conditions.

Sharma Strikes Early - Australia 1/6 (1.5)

Australia were dealt a huge blow as they began their run chase, losing opener Brad Haddin for 3 in the second over of the innings. Haddin attempted to drive paceman Ishant Sharma through the covers, managing only to mistime the shot, with the result flying comfortably to Harbhajan Singh at cover.

Not the best of starts for Australia. India have posted a competitive total, but whether it will be enough on this pitch, we'll have to wait and see.
