Any Improvements?

I agree that rep should be scratched, come on you only like it when you get good rep and if you get bad rep you go out to get the person who gave it to you. If people appreciate what you have said, post about it in the thread not in rep. Most my rep is jokes and doesn't have any +ve meaning. Plus it doesn't even accurately potray a "good" and a "bad" member, People get -ve repped because they disagree with an opinion; that isn't a valid point. Get rid of it!

The more mature members don't do anything like that. I think it's a decent feature as a bit of a laugh, it's when people take it too seriously that a problem develops.

I do it just for fun ( I know you are well aware of that, I hope! ) but this is a cricket games site so the majority of members arent mature enough. I've seen members who havent done anything particulary 'great' and have alot more rep than great members. It should be removed :mad

That's a mixed message though. You do it for fun, yet you want to take it seriously to judge who the best members are. That doesn't really agree does it?

I do it for fun but it is widely accepted that higher rep means better member as people think it means something, I was merely commenting on all the rep serious people out there

I don't think it's widely accepted that high rep means that at all. The forum rules make it clear that it's not the case and I can think of several excellent members who don't have a high rep:

Forum Rules said:
2) Reputation: The Reputation or Rep system is in place purely as a light-hearted bit of fun to encourage members to produce quality posts. It is not to be taken over-seriously and reputation level is not always a good indicator of an individual's contribution to the forum. Any reputation queries should be dealt with through a PM to an admin and not through starting a new thread although please only do this sparingly unless there is a offensive or racist comment, in which case PM an admin immediately. Please do not constantly ask for rep in your posts as you are likely to receive negative rep for asking. Finally, please do not abuse the rep system as admin have access to the reputation logs and will disable the system for anyone who is unable to use it sensibly.

exactly excellent members don't have high rep which means they arent correctly being creditted for their posts and this is where the problem lays!
People are either too extreme with rep, dont care or really care and not many people are inbetween which causes problems..

On people referals on their profiles, do you think it should say who they reffered?

Personally I do.

Your opinions.

I think that would just clog up space personally; If you reccomend members then you already know who your reffered members are don't you? I don't really think other people would be particulary interested in seeing who reffered who either.

I was just wondering if the features that you turned off when Planet Cricket had problems with down town have been turned on again now.

EDIT: I also think that my user rank "President of the National Board" should be shortened to "Board President" because at the moment it spills onto two lines which makes it look untidy. I sent a message about this to Ste but there has been no reply and no action.

All the features should be on again. Tell me if you spot any that are missing.
I've rearranged the user title a bit to fit it onto the line. I redid the top user titles and rep ranks a couple of weeks ago as people had reached the top ones!

Looks neat Colin, National Board President does look better than the previous one. And what exactly are these features that Lee is reffering too?
