A status is something very different from a siggy.

You said you want a status under your avatar, isn't it the same just having a signature under all of your posts?

A status is something that we see when he look at your page, which is what Matt has introduced.

A signature is a tag on each of your posts, which is also what it currently is.

I meant that statuses should be visible near the posts so that they are easily available. Signature is something which I don't like to change usually, so using that as a status isn't a good idea.

What I personally feel is that if the statuses are just kept restricted to the profile page, the charm might be lost and the idea might just go down the drain. Its just a suggestion though.

Remember this isn't facebook, and if you want to see how someone's feeling, you could add them on facebook/MSN, or you could check their profile page.

MSN is fine but Facebook is just too personal to add unknown friends.
