Ste told me ESPN would be ?5 a month, which compared to Setanta's ?12.99, isn't bad. I don't have Virgin so I don't know.Setanta came as part of the Virgin package. Does anyone know what the deal will be like with ESPN? Will I have to pay for it separately?
I would have thought Virgin would be negotiating with ESPN to include it in any existing packages. It makes sense, especially if you don't want all your subscribers to go buy dishes.Setanta came as part of the Virgin package. Does anyone know what the deal will be like with ESPN? You don't know. ESPN need to recruit presenters and commentators all in 2 months. Probably will be some of the Setanta clan.At least I won't have to put up with Tim Sherwood and Craig Burley again. Or Maca for that matter. Or that smug, twatty-looking presenter.
Unless ESPN sign them all up. I'm sure they've sent off their CV's!At least I won't have to put up with Tim Sherwood and Craig Burley again. Or Maca for that matter. Or that smug, twatty-looking presenter.

Didn't Soccer AM used to mock up American commentary of Boston matches?Shut up! That's what they were saying on 606
At least it won't be American commentary.
'And the GK, Aluminum, tosses it to the Quarter-Right Back, Bacary Sagna. He passes it 30, 40, 50 yards to the running receiver, Theo Walcott! He takes the spherical ball past the 22 to the touch-line and crosses it to Cesc 'The Cap'n' Fabregas who shoots it into the net! It's a score! One-Zeeeero! This goal has been brought to you by Coca Cola! Live on the Coke side of life.'
The one with the worst commentator in history? Is this the end for Tommy Smyth, possibly the most hated football commentator in history? | Sport | guardian.co.ukI'd have thought as far as the commentary goes they'd use the ESPN feed that has beamed all around the world (except in the UK) for the last few years.

ESPN Classic is with I think the News & Events pack. ESPN America has been made free since Setanta went (it used to come with Setanta). When their new channel comes, the ESPN network will probably have ESPN UK, ESPN UK HD, ESPN Classic, ESPN America. For ?5 a month.Hold on: isn't ESPN free right now, on Sky?
