Searching for it on YouTube, there were several events and a TV ad campaign featuring him.

Yes, for every bit of marketing there could be more of it - but people's suggestions on here are business plans that amount to 'do this one thing and the game will be famous' - not taking into account the massive risk and cost of doing what are seemingly simple things.

Cricket + India = Cash isn't a universal truth, and Cricketer + Product = Marketing Plan certainly isn't.

Ashes Cricket is that because it's a proven formula, the UK and Australian markets are proven and stable. For 505Games putting their first toe into the water of publishing a cricket game they don't have the luxury of risk.

A game named Cricket Life is still in my mind because it was endorsed by Mike Hussey.
If you can't get an Indian player, then get Gayle. Hes the most popular foriegn player in India now, thanks to IPL. And the number of noses hes broken.:p

The Duke Nukem Forever of cricket games. The developers waited so long that Mike Hussey had started his career, reached his peak, and retired before we got any sniff of a release.

See games like Brian Lara Cricket, Boycott's cricket...the name gets printed in your mind. Its easy to remember those names than say Cricket Power, Cricket revolution.
The first step to success is to get people to remember your title for longer than a month.

They did give a release year. But it changed every year for 4 years. :p
