Ashes 2015 - Australia tour of England July/September 2015

I still can't believe MM isn't in the XI. He is a massive match winner. I can safely bet, Watson won't make a hundred when it matters.[DOUBLEPOST=1436350758][/DOUBLEPOST]Interesting. Not much bounce and carry based on the first over.
Oh yeah forgot about MM. He's quality.

How good is Hazelwood?

feel very sorry for Adam Lyth. He'll have been all keyed up for his first Ashes test, wanting to get on with it and getting ready to bat, then to have it delayed by Welsh incompetence, pomposity and delusions of grandeur can only have had a negative effect. WTF was all that crap? Absolutely ridiculous.

I think, Bell is a class class act. He has 3-4 years of cricket in him. I hope England don't drop him.

Average over 18 months under 30... yeah real class. [HASHTAG]#deluded[/HASHTAG]

He's played 10 years of international cricket, during which time he's had precisely one good important series, the 2013 Ashes. After which, he imploded.

Ha ha! Dave always smells Bell-Blood....

Ah Dave, how many times have we argued about this!

Yeah his average sucks, but hes a quality batsmen. He's just in bad form. Morgan was the same and he excelled. Bell could be rubbish, and may be dropped, but he has been a classy batsmen for many years.[DOUBLEPOST=1436354442][/DOUBLEPOST]

I take it all back. Dave you are right, I bow to you. I now hate Ian Bell.

Never ever doubt The Blocker!!!![DOUBLEPOST=1436354590][/DOUBLEPOST]We are toast..., on a pitch that has less life than Keith Richards we are looking a bit inept.....

Why did Cook Bat first?! I would have bowled with the conditions, get at the Aussies early on.

Aussies all over us.

I think they had to bat first; needed to get through the first session relatively unscathed; crucial partnership: need to keep ticking over....

Jeez, that's a bit naive. By that logic, Alastair Cook should have been dropped long ago.

No one here is saying Bell isn't struggling, but it's about one good score. How many series like the one Bell had has Cook had? One?

We all have our favorites, but let's not malign facts with opinions. I respect yours.

I'm not sure I agree. With the conditions as they are, I would have bowled first and got Anderson and Wood bowling hard at them. Put them under pressure.

Root needs to settle now and make runs. Ballance is looking OK.[DOUBLEPOST=1436355189][/DOUBLEPOST]

You're fighting a loosing battle their bud. Dave hates Bell!

He's annoyingly good. I personally don't like him. I prefer Cummins and Starc but he's really come on leaps and bounds. He deserves the accolades being showered on him. Next Glen McGrath? We'll see.

Yeah. It's frankly not about him hating Bell or me hating Cook. I quite dislike Cook, but I well and truly respect what he's achieved. You don't rack up the kind of numbers he's racked up unless you're good. Right now, England need both making big big runs!
