The only more frustrating thing than being a Chris Woakes fan must be being Chris Woakes - although he at least gets paid a six figure sum to run drinks and bowl in the nets all summer.

Worrying that Wood isn't playing, he can't be fit.

I thought Tongue did well against Ireland but this is a big step up. Also worrying that after Wood he's the only next fit option for a pace bowler.

Mahmood has potentially got another stress fracture (hasn't played for a month) and Jamie Overton is playing the T20 Blast as a specialist batter too. Fisher is not nearly as quick as them.

Carse injured too - I think - he's not bowled since the second week of May and played five Blast matches but not bowled.

Only other guy I can think of who is quick is Gus Atkinson and he's played a total of 13 First Class matches.
