I thought when Root came out determined to take on the short ploy from ball one that we might be in for a couple of quick wickets and another reversal but he pulled it off without much drama. Seems to have adjusted his technique a bit between tests.

And Australia haven't really found a groove with the ball. On a better day they might have asked more searching questions.
