Ashes-2023 England VS Australia 16 June-31 July

He’d have been another failed “next Botham” despite being a better bowler and batter than anyone else that they’d reasonably have at 8 otherwise
Trying to figure out how he gets into the 1994 Warwickshire side. Maybe in place of Paul Smith.

England would probably have picked Ian Austin or Vince Wells ahead of him.

Key Ashes period now, probably. 300 would be 50 short at least but 400+ might be formidable when England must win in a potentially shortened game.

Wood - 8 wickets (5 tailenders)

Woakes - 10 wickets (0 tailenders)

Put some respect on Woakes name, you stupid idiots!

How on earth did they not pick this bloke in the second test? He’s been a revelation since coming in.

Safe to assume Mo Ali has done his job at #3? Anything that comes now would be a bonus.

Well he's a very sweet ball striker. Lovely timing. And he's a leftie so he gets the angle across. More balls to hit, more balls to nick.

I don't see why Aussie wouldn't persist with the short ploy if they've going to play the shot really, as long as the bowlers have the energy. There's a lot of pull shots required to get England level and they're not all going to miss fielders.

Australia have been appalling. Fair play to Greg the Egg.
