Sadly looks like this good weather is staying away from Old Trafford,what a complete anticlimax to this series

I don't think there's any doubt that England have had the best of the conditions all series. They just gave away a few wickets and dropped a few catches too many to convert their chances.

They've outplayed Australia at some key moments but they've been second best a bunch of times as well. Australia haven't had a great series as a team but they held the line when they needed to in the first couple of tests and it looks like that might be enough.

Another thing, how effin slow the teams are at bowling their overs when they do get on. England only bowled 83 on Day One.
