Can we stick to the topic of the thread. Anyone needing to re-read forum rules is invited to do so while I dust off the ban hammer. Those who know, know.

And I havent used it in a while and get fidgety and whack sometimes a little too hard.

Uzzie is back & he is better than ever! Even Mitch Marsh comeback is looking amazing!

Have we possibly now seen the last of Anderson in an England shirt?

If Tongue is fit, it’s hard to argue for his retention: unless Broad is too tired to get through 5 on the spin. Sad way for him to go.

He hasn't looked in the top four seamers this summer, let alone top three. That being said Wood and Woakes will inevitably get injured/rotated next summer, so if he were to carry on I could see him still playing.

Broad looks like four in a row was a bit much, Woakes and Wood have carried the team largely these last two.

Doesn't help we have so many sicknotes like Archer,Stone & Mahmood

Not at all in favour of the thread title here- in fact, from a forum perspective, we ought to keep our thread titles independent of controversies. We aren't a parody forum where we joke about each and every thing. Yes, Australia retained the Ashes largely due to the rain interruption, but you guys are acting as if rain has never impacted a cricket game before. Is this fair?

Actually, I wanted to make this point when it was named' Spirit of Cricket', but at this moment, it is a bit too much. Calling it 'Rain Affected', just takes it to another level. Grow up, whosoever has done it and those who support this!

I would also like to direct a question to the Admins/ mods and understand whether we can rename other threads as well? Under normal situations, I am pretty sure warning would be issued to those errant members. If no, then let us rename the threads the way we each one of us deems correct/politically appropriate or inappropriate.

1. 'No one is interested' WI v India
2. 'Pak hosted/, but BCCI declined' Asia Cup

I have been a member on this forum for far too long and truth be told, such instances haven't occurred in the past at all. Hope better sense prevails and we rename this thread to 'Ashes 2023'
