Ashes-2023 England VS Australia 16 June-31 July

That could have been the greatest test innings of all-time if he had gone on to win it. Outstanding effort nevertheless from Ben.

He keeps doing it - again and again! Nothing short of extraordinary.

Arguably bringing back the best of Test Cricket in the era of T20's

In all fairness, I think the small break did Australia wonders. Their bowling slowly improved and they were forcing Stokes to either run singles and doubles with a busted knee or try and slog to the offside. Their fields were still terrible but the bowling eventually started executing the plan. In the absence of their main spinner I’d say Australia have bowled well other than when they lost their heads after Bairstow’s dismissal.

This game was always going to be a stretch too far, stokes played an all time great innings to give us a glimmer but we always knew something was going to happen. But one thing for sure, we have been ignited and every crowd will give Australia hell for cheats they have still shown themselves to be and fully they deserve every second of it. Headingley, western terrace is coming for you convicts be prepared.

Somewhere in the multiverse Stokes is 215*, the series is 1-1, Crawley's been dropped. I'm sat there smiling; the happiest guy to have ever pooped his pants.
Channeling my inner Icyman,
Where is your patriotism? And you call yourself a hardcore fan of the game, if this is the state of hardcores can't expect anything from the casuals. This is the reason the game is dying.

You’re forgetting the part where @wasteyouryouth should be banned. Banned I say!

That was the worst fifteen minutes of test cricket I’ve seen between two big sides.

It is just laughable how people are calling Bairstow names. If I am to explain myself?

I was the first and most vocal critic of Ashwin but on reflection, the non striker gains a huge advantage by backing up. Here, it was the end of the over. Bairstow gained nothing, he was never looking for a run. If what happens is within the rules then the rules are garbage and like most things in the world, common sense is rare. It was also the end of the over. Bairstow was not batting out of his crease is the most important thing for me. Otherwise I would have sided with Carey.

It tells me another thing- All this talk of culture etc within Australia is a heap of BS. They are the same as sandpaper gate and that Steve Smith in particular I always felt will do anything to win.

I'll just say it- That was blatant cheating. The rules are rubbish if that was allowed and the umps lack common sense.
