Ashes Cricket 2009 system req. Confirmed. ( Official System Specifications in First Post )

If anybody has upgraded their pc within the last year or so OR can play games such as crysis cod4 and such my guess is that you can run it perfectly.

Also Purchased myself a 4870 comes tommorrow i'm so excited :)

Great choice dude. I got one last Christmas and boy what a card it is. Creams any game at 1600 resolution.
Here is my config which should easily handle AC09

P35 Intel Mobo
4GB Corsair RAM
Core 2 Duo E8400. 3.6GHZ(overclocked)
ATI HD 4870 1GB and a XBOX controller :p:p
:banana2:banana2:banana2

XFX Radeon HD 4870 Video Card - 1024MB GDDR5, PCI Express 2.0 x16, CrossFireX Ready, (Dual Link) Dual DVI, HDTV at TigerDirect.com

I think the graphics card I posted above is better than this one,

Asus 1GB ATi Radeon HD 4850 HD 4850 PCI-E Graphics Card on eBay (end time 28-Jul-09 11:46:12 BST)

the 4870 has GDDR5 memory while the 4850 doesn't. Is there a major difference between the 2 GPUs?

Yes :) It has faster speeds like clock speeds and gddr5 where as i think the 4850 has gddr3 leads to faster rendering speeds I picked up my 4870 for 102 pounds Pretty decent tbh :) Xfx edition :)

anything more than 512MB of VRam for low end cards is a waste of memory!
Its an overkill as the card doesnt utilize the extra memory available!

That isnt really true A low end card Has the extra memory which sometimes like with the 4870 maintains decent perfomance with aa enabled or a high resolution It helps with the faster rendering of the frames. so I always go for 1gb as i play at 1680 1050 just to make sure :)

also My specs

Acer t180 mobo
new case antec 900
4870 1gb xfx
amd 6000+ dual core 3.0ghz
x-fi xtreme gamer

Should absoulutely cream this game :) cant wait imo demo comes out on pc tommorrow Exactly when i get my new gpu :)

Anyway guys i wish you all the best with your ashes 09 endeavours :) One thing left for me to say :) come on england!! :)
