9400GT is a low-end card.

AC09 prob needs a good GPU more than a good CPU.

Well,the card is not good,
but it will be enough for running this game in 1024x728 and in medium settings

Then guys! which Card should I go for... 9600 GT? 9800? or any other card in GeForce 6, 7 or 8 Series? plz advise!

You just need a supported GPU for playing AC09 I have a 8400GS and its also good enough for playing DX9 games on decent settings

its better play the game on console. (not to worry about the game will run or not) that is the best point to buy a console. rather then spending money on pc at every next mondae.

About 6600gt there is not a single game in mkt which this card cant play.. i have played gta 4 and crysis warhead far cry2 on this card on medium max min in short mix of settings but it played fine... Its processing speed is better than 8600GT i.e (500mhz Gpu)..

and about 64bit processors for about 1 or 2 years every big game has this requirement and believe me ahtlonxp 3200+ 32bit processors is the only difference amd 64 bit plays every game.... You dont know these things because u know nothing ....

I am not forcing anybody to purchase 6600GT but my point is whoever have this card should not worry until the demo... play the demo this card might give u fair performance but my suggestion is to upgrade ur ram to alt least 2gb now... especially vista users..

Go for AMD 4850 if budget allows, 4870 if budget is more than the 4850, and a 9600GT otherwise.

the 4870 has GDDR5 memory while the 4850 doesn't. Is there a major difference between the 2 GPUs?

Cant say that for sure. My friend has a 8400 and his pc struggles at anything over 1024X768 resolution with no AA enabled on BLIC07.

Right, that is still wrong, 8600GT has BY FAR more processing power than the 6600GT. Check the facts.

Lol, you must be kidding. As Kshitiz pointed out, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about.

6600GT is a 3/4 year old graphics card and wont run GTA or Crysis even in SLI. Athlon processors are ancient. Also you cant force anybody into buying a 6600GT because nobody sells them any longer though im sure you could find a few at your local dumping site :laugh

Anyway, a 8600GT should be able to run AC09 on decent settings. I'd recommend the ATI HD 4670 which is a very good budget card though if you can push for more then certainly a HD 4850. With nVidia a 9600GT, 9800GT and GTS 250 are also all good budget cards. Im sure you'd be to run AC2009 on the highest settings with a GTS 250 or HD4850 - if the rest of your PC is up to it of course.

anything more than 512MB of VRam for low end cards is a waste of memory!
Its an overkill as the card doesnt utilize the extra memory available!
