I have an idea about defensive shots. I've posted it here, as well as the Wishlist thread, since this is where everyone is currently living! :laugh
How about if you press the defensive button as usual, with front or backfoot, but if you just tap it, you get an ordinary, safe defensive shot (so you can just drop the ball in front of you and go for that sneaky single), but if you hold it down, you push at the ball more, meaning that it could go further so you could get two, three, or with exceptional (I mean spot on) timing, four. But since you're pushing at it more, if you mess up the timing, you have a much better chance of edging it to the slips/keeper (of course, even the safe shot can be edged).
What do you guys think of that?
Idea is good but it will take the timing out of question. As if you press too early and keep it holding it will be a good push. So I don't think its possible as we want at the same time bowlers to be really quick not slow.
Full player stat tracking.
I thought it was in this game but now I find out it isn't..a little disappointed here.
Players different build and height (hoping this is in AC09) cause seeing someone like mitchell johnson standing next to ricky ponting, if they are the same height it would just look weird lol.
Also would love if they could do a career/be a pro what ever you want to call it. But i cant see it happening for a while. how many people like the idea of a superstar mode kind of thing?
seriously, this is bloody cricket. It is all about stats. When will people realize that?
They problem is, we have never had an absolute cricket fanatic (like most us PC members) develop or program a game.
EA 07 was Canadians, and this time AC09 is soo much better, quite possibly because it was developed by Aussies.
Jamie and Heath seemed to know the basics about cricket , but I would be hard pressed to call them cricket fanatics or even dedicated cricket watchers.
