Ashes Cricket 2011 Wishlist

I'd like more bickering and sleging. Like what happened between Watson and Anderson, Broad and Johnson etc.

I'd also like the option to duck under a bouncer. I don't want to always have to do a backfoot defencive if there is a man out on the pull

you can duck a bouncer, just line up the batsmans with the bouncer and dont press anythign, sometimes he ducks, sometimes he gets hit.

The problem is, the computer doesn't always leave the ball when that's really what you want (you might get hit by a bouncer because of that). How hard can it be to have a button that makes the batsman leave, or duck the ball?

That's the problem: sometimes. You want to be able to decide whether your batsman's going to get hit or not all the time.

Really? I'll try next time. I just got caught at short leg trying to play a backfoot defencive - thats why I brought it up :sarcasm

I know - It could be the button 'Y' on Xbox. That isn't being used for a Cricket shot...although if someone double presses it they would be run out :laugh

realistic bowling and batting animations

They're the least of our concerns; in comparison to the game's other issues, there's nothing wrong with the animations. They look fine to me in either case.

Bravo has a point, the bowlers run in with straigh backs rather than slightly crouching :laugh

They are least in your concern but not every ones.More than 80% people will agree with this that animations are not living to expectations. In addation to gameplay they must also work out most of those crappy animations, both bowling and batting specially bowlers followthrough & bowlers action.

Who cares?

so what? the run outs are ruining the game

Correct. As is the AI's pacing and the borked bounce of the pitch.

Batting animations look fine to me.

I haven't experienced any of these run out fiascoes. What actually happens?

The game appears to be flooded with stats! Manhattans, spider charts, and even some that come up by themselves!

Well those stats are fine, but what he probably means (and what I wholeheartedly agree with) is tracking stats ie. series stats, best bowlers, batsmen. I dont want to know how Ponting's existing career is updated after a game, I wanna know how well IVE played with him. Play a test series and in the 4th test a stat pops up showing that Steyn has dismissed Ponting 4 times in the series hence he starts with lower confidence when he comes in because he fears he will fall to steyn again...Things like that is what I wanna see and after 10 years of crappy cricket games thats the LEAST we should be offered by 2011!

For my wishlist it would include something like a ranking system...which coincides with the accurate and abundant stats in the game: ICC champs log and you create a player and try to get him to be the best bowler/fielder/batter/allrounder in the game, which unlocks stadiums, abilities etc.

There is a leave button, I am sure there is. It is not said in any manual it would seem but when I play on the PC (if the game has decided not to stutter for some reason) the duck or leave button is Y (360 pad). Now usually I don't need to use it unless there is a bouncer that is going to hit. There is a weird little beep sound when you use the Y button as well.
