The box art has the logo for the Ashes series over here and not the return series in Australia so it will be interesting to see if they will release DLC for it.

For sales I guess the release has to be near the english

Also what do you think about two ashes in the same year ?
I don't like it, to fast and I guess no change of ashes 2014.

@Chief when u think that the major buyers would prefer the normal controller then why dont u have a feature like Grand Slam tennis 2 which has the option of selecting between Controller and motion control????

But at the end he also tells that if there is any idea of how it can be implied (listen to the podcast at 14:29)...Just an opinion from me as i would surely love to play with PS3 Move..

Correct, but what he's said (and we can only go on his expertise and knowledge here) is that the majority of people aren't interested in that kind of feature. As a producer, you have to spend the money and resources on things that are actually going to effect whether people buy your product.

I view "motion controllers" in the gaming world much like fancy electronic motion-sensor cup-holders in a car. Yes they're neat, handy and often quite innovative as to where they're placed and how they function, but at the end of the day you're spending countless hours integrating a feature that the majority of your consumers don't really care about, most people just want the car to turn on, run economically and safely, something that every buyer wants. A safe, economical car.

I can only assume the same applies in the gaming world. I'm sure you'd agree, I would prefer Trickstar/505 spend R&D on things like animations, quality and variety of gameplay and world-class cricket graphics than integrating a gimmick like "motion control" which, really, is only going to appeal to a limited crowd and have a very limited lifespan and take away from the core gaming improvements that we've all been discussing for months now. It comes down to two things; Time and Money. What he's saying, if you read between the lines... is that kind of feature is most likely not a good investment from a business perspective.

The two Ashes series in the same year is a logistical decision, the authorities down under don't think they can host a 5 Test Ashes series and a full World Cup in the same year so they have moved the Ashes forward a year.

Back to the game, a question for you Chief. I've recently been playing Jonah Lomu's Rugby Challenge and while I think it is a fun game to play the fade to black screens between almost everything is very annoying. Will AC2013 fade to black between every cutscene? What have you done to combat this issue?

I played Cricket 07 on ps2 last night for the first time in years.
That game has the best gameplay of any cricket game I've played.
Loved using the sticks to bat. Felt natural.

Have you looked at adopting anything from this game?
