Ashes Cricket 2013 General Discussion

Sounds like management are not only internet shitty, but proper human shitty.

Yes. They are.

The lies. The smear campaign with the "leaked" phone number. I could go on.

Anyway, their behaviour helped bring them down in the end, those contacts they inadvertently gave me at the Cricket Boards were invaluable. The "right people" got the message that they were bringing the game of Cricket itself into disrepute and causing untold damage to the Ashes brand.

Hey Ross, Even though the AC13 is cancelled, 505 still has the license. So has there been any contact from their side to you?

DBC will not have an Ashes Licence, nor will 505 games, the ECB or Cricket Australia offer it to them for this game. Perhaps for the 2015 Ashes, there might be something; but Ross will only accept a deal on his terms, which would make the license much less restrictive than this one.

Best. Comment. Ever!

Low Life says:

I?m glad it got a release in the first place, as the few videos I?ve seen of it have been quite entertaining. I?ve also learned the basic rules of the sport as a result, though I?m not sure if that?s a positive.

Zunt says:

Ah yes, the notorious rule CCXII:

i) If the batting team have run more than 30 runs the umpire shall slowly begin to move towards to bowler?s stumps. The umpire must travel by means of foot-oscillation only (see rule CCCLXXI).

ii) The umpire should reach the bowler?s stumps by the time the batting team have run 80 runs.

iii) On reaching the stumps the umpire must touch the nearest player on the fielding team. This player shall then rotate on the spot as fast as possible. Note that vomiting will be considered ?Interference with the Runners?.

Trespasser in the Stereo Field says:

I particularly enjoy the rule which states a man in the field must fall over periodically.

The comments just get better.. these guys are quite sharp (for a games website public comments section).

Shadowcat says:

Once you have memorised this map, you are on the path to enlightenment.

Kitsunin says:

Is?is that for real?
Do the players who take the position have to match the position name? Like one guy has to have a good looking leck (leg?) with no knee, another must have cube appendages which angle very far forwards? Also, a silly mid-off sounds like some really demented double-entendre.

They're not falling over, it's the "drop and give me twenty" rule for misfields.

A tweet by them on dbc will do wonders...

A positive tweet ofcourse :P

Or probably an article by a columnist there...

I certainly don't think that the game Stuart Broad played in july and the game we've right now are the same. Probably this is some "Special Edition" and the real game will be released in December ?
:spy

What are the odds on Mike Fegan appearing on 'Celebrity Big Brother' or 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!' next year as one of those has been celebrities?

It'd be a bit boring, all he'd do is continuously talk about the date of his release..

.. or maybe say nothing at all.

I made another video, highlights of NZ vs England...

I apologize to everyone in advance for Biggs top scorings... :lol
