I playing on hard, pro and pace set to 80 and swing at 85. Maybe that's why.

Just to add to this, and provide some context, I used Weasley's sliders (pitch marker at 15) and was able to make a 24 ball century in a test. No edges either in a career where I played to earn a rating of 85. I have since turned it off and shelved it. Gone back to DBCC 17 for now. Hopefully once Ashes gets patched, career mode can be improved.

P.S. not many edges from AI either, although definitely more than human batsmen (in career).

Interesting that you are going back to DBC17.

I reckon if you took DBC14's Stats, DBC17's Batting and Ashes Bowling you would be close to a very decent game.

You' still need the AI of a completely different game though cuz they're crap in all 3

I honestly think you could forgive so many flaws in the game if the AI was competent enough to take a game seriously. Feel a little let down that AI hasn’t evolved over the 3 iterations - there is no adaptation to scenarios, no clever batting, no quick singles, rare to non-existent yorkers at the death.

I honestly think you could forgive so many flaws in the game if the AI was competent enough to take a game seriously. Feel a little let down that AI hasn’t evolved over the 3 iterations - there is no adaptation to scenarios, no clever batting, no quick singles, rare to non-existent yorkers at the death.

This is the big problem for me. The game seems so reliant on how individuals are set up but, if individual skills are largely irrelevant then surely it would be more effective to have subtle adaptations and differences in how teams approach things.

I have an inflated self opinion it's true, but I have to say that me leaving the beta has left them deficient in no quality except perhaps beligerence.

I've just spent a couple of hours messing about with the games sliders and different camera angles and had a most enjoyable 10 overs women's game between England and Netherlands. Afraid to say that I've gone back to broadcast cam after initially batting with batting near cam. I might go back to batting cam once I get settled with the batting buttons.

The last few Pages did not make all sense to me , so yes , I`m still in the Dark.

Essentially the beta has been updated. This is public information through the steam database. The beta team haven’t confirmed it and nor would I expect them to due to confidentiality agreements but the main point is something has happened, whether something comes of it is still to be seen[DOUBLEPOST=1517947736][/DOUBLEPOST]I can assume we are getting 3.5 patches a week?
