Playing the AI offline, 3rd test against Australia. I'm batting and 495-5, late on day 2. Getting a little tedious as the pitch is dead. Simmed the rest of my innings to see what I'd make.

The AI put on another 100 runs exactly then declared for me on 595-5.

Absolutely under no circumstances should the AI declare on my behalf when it thinks it's a good idea. That's not what simulate means. That's called simulate & manage my innings. Which isn't what the button says. Or any of the buttons/options for that matter.

Unimpressed with that one, very silly.

Yes. I have now played 2 full career mode seasons. I have not edged one single delivery, let alone been dismissed caught behind. My Batsman currently has 52 overall rating and i'm playing on Legend AI, Hardest batting. God knows how easy it will be when he becomes more skilled.

Just to add to this, and provide some context, I used Weasley's sliders (pitch marker at 15) and was able to make a 24 ball century in a test. No edges either in a career where I played to earn a rating of 85. I have since turned it off and shelved it. Gone back to DBCC 17 for now. Hopefully once Ashes gets patched, career mode can be improved.

P.S. not many edges from AI either, although definitely more than human batsmen (in career).

I went back to DBC 17 the other day, and struggled to bat longer than 35 overs.
Don't understand why they made ashes cricket so easy on every level.

Additionally, powered ground shots also seem to be useless in Ashes. Standard shots are more powerful, for now that is. Also wasn't the case in 17.
