does it not require a lobby though, DBC is P2P so how does cross platform work there?

A Sony and Microsoft collab isn't happening in the near future by the looks of things.
But as seen on the link on the previous page, owners of a game on Steam can be pit against players on the other platforms.

And I would do the same if I were Sony. PS4 outnumber other consoles by quite a margin and lot of new consumers decide on the console based on how many potential opponents they will have online and whether they will be able to play with their friends online. If Sony allows cross-platform with MS then a potential customer may go with XBOne without worrying about the available folks online or whether their friends have PS4 or XBOne. This cascading effect allows Sony to continue being successful and get enhanced sales. Cross platform play will be beneficial for the platform holder who hasn't sold as much and will reduce the advantage of the higher selling platform holder.

As an example I went with Sony (PSX) coz there are generally more online folks and also most of my friends had/have PSX. Also, coz during PS3 days the games were not regionally locked whereas MS region locked the games.

Yeah it would nice if they could add steam to console cross gameplay though..

Is it technically possible? I never realized that......are there games that interact with one or other of the consoles and pc?

i am pretty sure ross or one of the other big antians said way back in dbc14 it's possible at a technology level but blocked by platform holders.

Shame as it would really open up the community and there would be far more players available.....I could hardly ever find anyone on pc....
