Ashes Cricket General Discussion

One small doubt, does the difficulty setting get reset whenever I log out PS4?

Because every time I start to play Ashes it is resets to Easy Easy Easy (Batting/Bowling/Fielding) I have to set it to Hardest Hard and play. Is there a way to set it permanently?

If I remember correctly it stayed with what i selected if I played a casual game to its end....[DOUBLEPOST=1520802396][/DOUBLEPOST]
Thanks, how do i switch to classic mode, I've looked everywhere in the settings...
You are looking for STANDARD (Button) controls and not Classic (Analogue stick controls)

Hi,
Just bought the game for Xbox one, and I'm really disappointed with the timing of the shots when batting, the only way to get ideal timing is to hit the right analoge literally straight after the seamer bowls, which gives you zero time to see what ball is being bowled. Is there anyway to change it to button controls for hitting the ball rather than analogue triggers. Before I take it back to be traded... thanks
I find that I play normally it comes up late timing but i can still zing it to the boundary for 4 no problem, I ignore what it says ... as someone has said the next patch will make it play off pitch = ideal timing

A question to the beta team - @WealeyH @Dutch et al - on any improvements to the AI batting during end of match situations: is it possible to simulate a scenario where the AI needs 3+ runs off the last ball, or 10+ runs off the last over, and see how the AI bats in such situations? I’ve had a few anticlimactic finishes to the game where the AI would defend the last ball when a boundary is needed. Hoping this is being looked into.

Thanks again for the incredible work you all are doing!

Likewise, if at all possible, when the roles are reversed. I know it's a tricky situation but it'd be great to see the AI not just give easy singles when you only need a couple of runs.

A scenario editor is one of the most requested features - and it would certainly be a handy shortcut for beta testing - but there isn't one as far as I know.

To be clear, I know there isn't a scenario editor feature and actually don't want one, but am mainly interested in whether the beta team has been testing end of match situations. They would have to manually play to create such a situation

I used to think this was a bit of an overly unnecessary addition, but really it could be a great thing for future editions. You could set challenges for your friends. Test scenarios similar to beta testing.

I suppose it'd have options for:

Batting or bowling challenge
Difficulty level
Game length (Total Overs)
Balls remaining
Wickets remaining
Locked to certain teams (classic challenges) or open
Mode of dismissal required (if a bowling challenge)
Scoring methods required (for runs if batting - can only complete challenges with 4's,6's, boundaries or ANY)

All sorts of things.

It was a great part of whichever Brian Lara game had scenarios - probably 96ish because I remember playing the 1996 World Cup Final.

I'm sure it's more complicated but surely you'd need only a manual way of entering the data that would be stored in a saved game - teams, scorecard, time, ground etc..

Think it was 99, I remember having a lot of fun with that game. Herschelle Gibbs was my absolute favourite to bat with with.

Has anyone tried international cricket 2010? Had the same commentary as brian lara 96. It was essentially the same game but slightly tweaked.

Was the only ps3 cricket game I could get my hands on. Dbc 14 was extremely rare to find at that time.
