Lara 96 didn't have commentary , if you are refering to BLC99 than that game has different commentators as well from what I remember.

Yeah I think it was blc 99. Had it on ps1. Alot of the commentary was rehashed into international cricket 2010. I know because I played both. Especially blc 99. Had that game when I was a small kid.
I feel the commentary was actually better in those games compared to ashes.
Wasn't great but still okay. I'm sure bigants next title will drastically improve on commentary as well.
If there new patch is as good as the beta guys say, the future of cricket games seems brighter than ever, even if it's just big ant serving them up to us alone..

the testers probably got fed up with the ‘feedback’ they were getting so cannot be bothered maybe ?

The answer he gave I imagine was in reference to some of the quality of some of the feedback (and not as such a statement about the community or the purpose of the discussion threads generally)...and I feel, a valid point.
If for example I post a YouTube vid which then erupts straight away into a frenzied free for all about there being too much seam you kind of ask yourself why bother. I am all for feedback but people take so much for granted.

I often find there is a group of posters who are genuinely interested in the process and have an important part to play as it helps ‘us’ to focus on issues and try to get it right.
They are also able to make a distinction between their opinion of Big Ant and its processes and the beta members. I enjoy these interactions where people who have sound cricketing and or gaming knowledge have a positive and objective input with respect and dignity.
Unfortunately there are also a bunch of toss pots who think the sun rises out of their own arse.
I think a showcase thread might be a good idea where only beta members can post? And feedback given via Pm?
