Ashes Cricket General Discussion

Did a small experiment . I started the test match with pitch bounce at 60 and reduced 3point as every day passes. Kinda felt real . I lost the match by 7 wickets . AI chased down 290 without a problem. Pitch was dead slow turn and no bounce what so ever.

And perhaps the ability to carry glasses covers in pockets

Best of both worlds

So today played a coop test match with @Bigby Wolf ..Should say batting was fun...Was able to score a 50 with Root and he was connecting really well.. @Bigby Wolf scored a 50 as well with Woakes..

Co-op is a lot of fun (particularly batting in the longer formats) when the connection is excellent. I did request an option to simulate your bowling innings in co-op so you have the option to chase also...

So if anyone in the UK wants a co-op game (maybe 50 overs or test), let me know...

Yeah absolutely..BTW I have minimum and maximum speed to 60...Even then it was really slow..Some teams have decent pace for carry too WK but few dont...And in the above match AI was bowling at 83kmph and she was fast medium..
I have minimum up, not sure what to. I had Jhulan Goswami bowling to me - think she's a FM on the game and 99% sure I haven't changed her attributes - either way, she seemed to drop 15mph in the space of two overs after her stamina plummeted. Similar issue you see with the men. I'm hoping that will be addressed and you see a lower drop off, at the very least from the first spell. Ideally you'd want to be able to push a bowler a little more in that first spell - thinking Broad at Trent Bridge or Southee/Boult the other day - if they are on top. Then if they do come back for a second spell perhaps you're only going to get a short burst before the speeds declines.

Why would u play women's cricket?
I mean what extra does it offer from men's cricket in ashes ?

Would like to know?

Never tried it..
I don't think it necessarily offers anything extra, just something different. There might be others who are more familiar than me with the women's game but in general it can be less about big hitting and power. A bit more emphasis on nudging and nurdling would be welcome, at present the women on the game can hit it as far as the men so it doesn't really give that. And the boundaries are so short that they don't run singles. The bounce is perhaps a little too low even at slower speeds and it'd probably be more realistic to get the keepers/slips a little closer because the ball doesn't carry as far. Certainly the possibility of getting a the keeper up to the stumps even for fast medium could be an possible option.

Yeah stamina needs to be worked out...Created players or default players behave different to licensed ones for sure...

Yeah @chaman82 I play for the different perspective it brings to the game...Though the way it is now , you can slog the hell out of the bowlers...Start of delivery, have breakfast , get some sleep , then some coffee and then come take controller slog them out of park, its that slow now...They do have WK and slips up compared to men's but its not at all enough as the ball just rolls to the WK many times...Even with increasing min and max speed to 60...Should try with 70-75 both maybe...Will try that tomorrow...

Yeah I have always like co-op, its great when you get to build an innings with the people you play with...Simulation has been in my wishlist along with @grkrama as we have played many co-ops but dont go for longer format as we dont like to bowl for that long..Something for the future maybe...For me if they get to remove the existing bugs online I would be more than happy...Wouldnt want them adding stuff to create more confusion or new issues rising out of it...
