Ashes Cricket General Discussion

And i don't think anyone has any problem with that... except the CEO of the company took time out of his day to come on here and say:

This was posted on the day of the last patch. if people think that what has happened since is in line with that, fair enough. i personally don't.

And moreover, my beef more than anything is the lack of engagement with the community, and the painting of the most extreme trolls here as representative of the community and using that as justification for not engaging. but seeing as the senior staff of the forum endorse that view of their own members, it's perhaps unsurprising.
Dave i think your a great guy, have no doubt about it what so ever, but i dont think your criticism with BA is fair. Now am a complete outsider my self but you were trusted with their product. I guess you guys never signed a agreement for testing the game but i just don't think its ethical for you to openly say things as they didn't communicate with you guys properly. It just take away lot from your credibility as well. I hope i didn't cross any line.

Ross have made it clewr he is not bothered about communicating directly with the largest cricket gaming community. Thats hes lost. And hes call. But what i am saying is they have done as much as they can for the game. Would i like bit more? Ofcoz i would. But at the same time we must be practical as well.[DOUBLEPOST=1523459368][/DOUBLEPOST]
That was disappointing. Life is not always easy being a depot man. But, someone has to do the job.
I have no doubt that you will be in beta team for the next game .

Personally I don't miss Ross and his contributions to this forum. His aggressive tone towards his customers who requested information and constant threats to block people were strange and often unpleasant.

As a CEO he may be fantastic, i really have no idea, but engaging with a community is obviously not his forte. I've seen it done well by other small developers (Paradox is a great example if anyone is aware of them) but Bigant struggle on this front.

In what way? They didn't, how would I gain credibility by pretending they did?

I am not here daily, but have been around for since DBC14.
Those supporting BA reps:
Just check out Ubikeeba on reddit for Ghost Recon and see what a company rep should do :)

My point is you where a inside man. They did trust you with their product. I think we all can respact you for you walking away coz you didnt like the process, lot of people wouldn't, it show your man of solid fundimetls in life. But since you did work in the project i just dont think its ethical to expose the internal process or shortcomings of them.

On the subject of trolls, everyone who has a different opinion can't simply be a troll. I do agree with dave on hes point of staff here doing a favour to BA (Ross) by labelling people who ask quationing as trolls, i am not saying DJ was not a troll. But according to one staff member am a troll too. Thats just baseless bs.
