Ashes Cricket General Discussion

@Thieves

What you can glean from this I have no idea except that fact that i am an utter arse! I cant play in this camera view!! But still take from it what you wish! On the shots that i do make look like a reasonable cricket shot you can see that you can wait for the pitch of the ball to play....

That run out looked on the cards early doors. Must admit I've never tried batting with that setup...and would no doubt make a hash of it if I tried. What's the experience like now in ProCam? I'd love to remove some of the premeditation that I still do...and be able to play with greater confidence with no ball or pitch indicators.

Hey Dutch, thanks for taking the time for my request.

This angle does help me see the difference in batting in this build. The strokes and shot play seem great (although you missing the ball in that way leaves alot to be desired lol).

I think you would get used to it if you practised. Try bumping the batting down to medium until you get used to it and make sure you put the pitch marker on so that you can see where the ball lands and hence judge the line and play it accordingly.

I think you would enjoy it actually. There's less strain on the eyes and the batting will flow more naturally. Also make sure batting is inverted.

@Dutch
Being able to play late is just great. However does that mean playing early ( which is ideal currently) be registered as early and result in miss or dismissal.

Yep that's exactly right. It takes a bit of time, for me anyways, to get used to the new window. For those of us that have played a lot, it's down to muscle memory I suppose. It's far more rewarding now, because it feels like you are playing late rather than guessing as it leaves the hand[DOUBLEPOST=1521049116][/DOUBLEPOST]
Hey Dutch , is it also possible to mark your stumpline in my view as well?
I believe it's for all camera types

I will see if I can get a pro cam vid up later!

Brilliant.

Ball color definitely seem fixed,
Ball played square but going to midoff fixed?

@Plotinus
Vid showing pro mode: again I havent played in this mode for a while so it takes getting used to but as you can see there is a no pre-meditation of shots needed.....as always apologies to BA for the low graphics...doesn't do the game justice.

Yes but it isnt the perfect build: there are a number of issues that need looking at still. There are lots of positives bit still a way to go.

Issues like?
