Asia Cup 2014

Imagine if Wasim Akram turns into a Afghanistan bowling coach, if there are any chances of that happening I think it will be safe for me to say this, they will be a hard team to face when it comes to bowling.

I didn't see that happening with KKR. So it definitely does not depend entirely on the coach.

^Well that is just changing the topic, we're on about international and not domestic and plus it is a T20 format and plus they didn't do that bad to leak in runs.

The point I was trying to make was that having a high quality coach doesn't guarantee success. Ultimately, it comes down to how a player reacts/performs out on the field. There is only so much a coach can do.

almost in the bag for afghanistan now, rahman had threatened to throw a spanner in the works but it was too little too late.

bangladesh should be very concerned as afghanistan's bowling looks quite obviously better.

Great win for Afghanistan here. For some time I thought that those dropped catches would be costly. But not so...

Well deserved win.

Friend Ashwin is trying to do too much experiment which is not a healthy sign. He is lacking originality.

I think it's a very healthy sign, if he feels his old action wasn't doing the job, then he has every right to alter it and correct it, and are you really going to claim that his old action was "original"?

I wonder if Pujara will get a go. I wonder if there will be change to the bowling attack. I wonder if Rohit Sharma will play. :rolleyes

I can't imagine why Kohli would keep a player of Pujara's calibre warming the bench for so long. Rohit Sharma needs to be thrown out of the team. And give that poor Ishwar Pandey guy one try. He's been warming the bench since the beginning of the NZ series.

Congrats Afghanistan
