It’s not the job of the umpires to work out various NRR permutations of one team and inform them of it. Afghanistan should be blaming their data analyst for this one. They could have just checked Cricbuzz to find out too.

I disagree! The umpires and the management had informed that the target needs to be chased down in 37.1 overs. At no point , did anyone bring up the fact that they cna score more runs until 37.4

This came to light only when the 9th wicket fell on the 37.1st delivery. Furthermore, not sure if Afghanistan have a data analyst or not-but certainly the work of the anlayst is to figure out his teammates batting and bowling aspects and not the permutations and combinations for the Asia Cup.

It will only be a debate between people who refuse to believe the contents of the video and people who are adamant in proving those people wrong. Anyone with half a functioning brain can tell it like it is. Even the people who are going to jump to his defense will know deep down what it is.

The management of the Afghani side should have but yet again the match officials shouldn’t. It’s one thing for them to be informants about the DLS targets or par scores but it isn’t their job to keep track of NRR permutations for one team in a group of three so that they can get to the next round, their job is to ensure the proper functioning of the game at hand which is already a handful. I’m amused that you think this isn’t the job of the data analyst in their camp but should be something the umpires should be telling them.

Regarding the video it had a overlay/watermark of some guy name Furqan, so might be possibility of the ine viral being morphed as well. (Again I don't know)

He has been chanted with Kohli Kohli chants whole of IPL not sure he reacted that way in any of the case.

And honestly I don't care whether it is true or not.

Because I don't like Gambhir as person I feel he is way too negative of a person and has problem every now and then with everyone especially Dhoni , Kohli and Pakistan.

He will come up with such statements every now and then my whole point was to add further insights to the story regarding what Gambhir has to say.

It's everyone's choice to believe what they think about him or the scenario.
