I disagree! The umpires and the management had informed that the target needs to be chased down in 37.1 overs. At no point , did anyone bring up the fact that they cna score more runs until 37.4It’s not the job of the umpires to work out various NRR permutations of one team and inform them of it. Afghanistan should be blaming their data analyst for this one. They could have just checked Cricbuzz to find out too.
This came to light only when the 9th wicket fell on the 37.1st delivery. Furthermore, not sure if Afghanistan have a data analyst or not-but certainly the work of the anlayst is to figure out his teammates batting and bowling aspects and not the permutations and combinations for the Asia Cup.
