Captain and vice-captain announced

Just now, the New Zealand coach has announced that his captain for this season will be...Matt West! "He seemed to be the perfect choice. He has been training so hard." Coach Connor has also announced that Dan was drawn out of the hat for vice-captain. "I know, some teams might think my method of pulling someone's name out of the hat is a stupid way to find a vice-captain, but I disagree. It was a nice, fair method."
Now knowing the leadership for this season, New Zealand must fight on against a very strong Australia outfit.

New Zealand vs New South Wales

New Zealand have announced their new look team for the New South Wales match. It should be an interesting game, New South Wales are firm favourites. The pitch is a dusty pitch, good for spinning. Poor for seaming, however.

Matt West calls Heads and it lands as tails, New South Wales elect to bat first.

New Zealand strike first, as some testing deliveries from Mathers and Parker get a wicket. A vital one at that. Michael Clarke caught by Simon Barrow on the boundary.

New South Wales are making slow progress, but a timely boundary off of Manee can let them rest for a bit.

Then, Dan Mackie and Simon Barrow were introduced into the attack and struck straight away. Barrow removing Australia first-team hopeful Simon Katich with a corker of a delivery.

The Bazzster didn't stop there! The next ball he got out Wicket-keeper Brad Haddin for a Golden Duck.

The 20 New Zealand fans in the crowd cheered like crazy and egged on Bazza for a hattrick...Unfortunately, it was a dot ball and the crowd relaxed again.

Next to go was Phelps, who got a cheeky little nick to Willie, who claimed his first International catch. Was there any stopping the rampaging Bazzster?

Obviously, there was no stopping the Bazzman, who took yet another wicket, but I'm afraid, Matt Roberts was the hero. An absolutely fantastic first slip catch to dismiss Simmons!
