Unfortunately this time it didnt pay off runs wise but i think he played perfectly.
While gilly was going off, he was almost doing nothing except blocking and running and little pushes for singles, allowing Gilly to hog all the strike.
For once in their partnerships Gilly was facing 3 times as many balls than Katich.
Then when Gilly got out Katich tried to keep the runs flowing so new guy could settle in but unfortunately he mistimed it an got out.
Perfectly played i would rather him score 20 off 30balls than 50 off 90balls anyday.

Hes good and deserves the praise given but hes definitely not as unplayable as we make him look. Same as Rafique, SL had no problems with him but suddenly hes turned to be as good as Murali against us.

Why not - and tell Danish to start bowling with his left arm while you're at itanakwalajinn said:Maybe Pakistan should give Inzamam some net practice ahead of the next match against Australia? He is a left-arm spinner aswell!
tassietiger said:That's different, Giles is one of the most useless bowlers on the international stage at the moment (btw on a completely unrelated matter, how did Mitchell Johnson bowl this time around? I didn't see it.)

Was he confident enough to attempt the variations he executes so well on the domestic stage, or was he throwing it up, turning it...? I missed alot of the Cricinfo commentary so couldn't really get an idea of how he bowled, apart from the statistics, which are usually pretty inconclusive unless exaggerated one way or the other.....
